The connection between Shameless and The Conners expands further when William H. Macy guest stars on The Conners Season 5 Episode 11, “Two More Years And A Stolen Rose.” He joins Emma Kenney, Harris, — who previously played his daughter — as a friend of the Conner family.
Dan’s high school glory days come back to him in full force when a beloved teacher passes away. Despite feeling his age more days than not currently, a reunion with old faces puts Dan back into high school mode.

Macy’s Smitty is bound to create some interesting situations when he re-enters Dan’s life after many years apart. The two friends clash as emotions run high during their teacher’s celebration of life.
Meanwhile, Becky uses her sisterly bond to try and gain a favor out of Darlene and Ben.
