Disney Announces the Return of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ with All-New Episodes
Summer vacation is coming early for fans of the hit Disney animated series Phineas and Ferb.
It was announced at the TCA press conference that Dan Povenmire, co-creator and executive producer of the series, has entered into a new overall deal with Disney Branded Television that includes 40 all-new episodes of Phineas and Ferb split into two seasons.
The series premiered on Disney Channel in 2007, winning five Emmy awards as the highest-rated series among young viewers 6-11 and 9-14 in Disney Television Animation History. It ran for four seasons with two additional spinoff films.

“Dan is renowned for his ability to create universally beloved stories and characters with both heart and humor,” said Ayo Davis, President of Disney Branded Television.
“We couldn’t be happier to continue our collaboration with him and bring back the iconic Phineas and Ferb in a big way.”
The animated series has always been a hit among Gen Z, living on thanks to a dedicated online fanbase of fans young and old. And appreciation for the show’s soundtrack has recently spiraled into various viral Tik Tok trends.
“It has been the greatest pleasure of my career to see how an entire generation of kids and parents have embraced the characters and the humor of Phineas and Ferb,” said co-creator Povenmire, who also voices Dr. Heinz Doofenschmirtz on the series.
“I’m eagerly looking forward to diving back into the show for them and for a whole new generation.”

Phineas and Ferb follows two step-brothers as they ponder how to spend their 104 days of summer vacation in increasingly adventurous and elaborate ways. But their sister Candance is determined to catch her brothers in the act.
Beyond its elaborate musical numbers and biting humor is a prolific fight between good and evil as Agent Perry the Platypus sets out to thwart Dr. Doofenschmirtz’s latest plan to take over the tri-state area.
The series featured voice work from Disney Channel regulars like Vincent Martella, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Ashley Tisdale, and Alyson Stoner.
No information yet on when the revival is set to premiere. But one thing is sure: Disney gave us 104 new reasons to make our next summer vacation count.
