Ben leaps into the body of a teenager on the run on Quantum Leap Season 1 Episode 8, “Stand by Ben.”

After preventing a murder on Quantum Leap Season 1 Episode 7, “O Ye of Little Faith,” Ben leaps into the body of a teenage boy, coincidentally also named Ben.

Our Ben leaps just as teenage Ben and a small group of other teenagers escape from a camp-looking facility.

We don’t get many clues as to what Ben is escaping. Still, it’s clear that this isn’t just some teens rebelling for a night of unsanctioned fun at summer camp. Whatever it is, it’s bad enough that the teens are willing to face the elements to escape it.

A lot is going on outside of Ben’s current mission, too. First, Ben remembers something big. Perhaps it’s a clue as to why he made that first leap. Plus, and no doubt related, there’s the significant development from “O Ye of Little Faith” to follow up on.

At the end of that episode, Janis Calavicci makes brief contact with Ben. She tries to warn him about something and seems genuinely concerned for him.

Is Janis not the villain the team seems to think she is? What do you think Ben will remember on “Stand by Ben?”

Episode description: Ben leaps into the body of a 16-year-old boy and finds himself among a group of outcast teens on the run. Ben relies on determination to try and guide himself and Addison to safety, all leading to a shocking revelation as a significant piece of his memory returns.
