This is Us fans get ready. Justin Hartley will a guest star on Quantum LeapSeason 1 Episode 4, “A Decent Proposal.”
In his first post This Is Us role, Hartley will play Jake. Jake is a bounty hunter and the partner of Eva Sandoval, the person Ben has leaped into. He also happens to be her love interest.

Not much more is known about Hartly’s character or what his part in Ben’s newest mission will be. Whatever it is, it’s good to see Hartley back on our TV screens.
This is also Ben’s first gender swap leap which should be a lot of fun. It will be interesting to see how the series handles gender dynamics, given the evolution of society’s conversations around gender since the original series aired.
Elsewhere on the episode, Ben starts to recover memories. The preview pictures show a shot of Ben and Addison in bed together before Ben’s fateful leap.
It seems unlikely that Ben would remember something that big so soon, but is that a flashback of what his newly recovered memory is related to?

My hopes are:
1 Magic remembers that Sam Beckett leaped into his life during the Vietnam war.
2 Magic remembers meeting and speaking to Al in the waiting room.
3 Magic remembers looking into a mirror and seeing Sam’s face.
4 Magic telling his last memory of Sam’s brother, Tom Beckett.
4 The team in 2022 discover that Ben’s ultimate goal is to bring back Sam Beckett to the present.
5 Janis appears as a hologram to Ben and tells him that he came to her to get her help to find Sam and bring him back.
6 Janis revealing that she sees Sam Beckett as much as her father as her actual biological father Al, since she and her 3 sisters exist because Sam told her mother Beth that Al was alive and Beth and Al stayed together and had 4 daughters.
7 Janis being the youngest of the 4 daughters Beth and Al have.
8 Cameo appearance of Tom Beckett with David Newsom repring the role.
9 Cameo appearance of Dr. Donna Beckett with Mimi Kuzyk or Teri Hatcher reprising the role.
10 Just before the episode ends Sam Beckett’s daughter, Sammy Jo Fuller, appears.
