Preview — New Amsterdam Season 5 Episode 4: Heal Thyself
New Amsterdam Season 5 Episode 4, “Heal Thyself,” doesn’t seem interested in making any improvements on the chaos of the season so far.
It looks like Elizabeth is going to lose the ability to communicate. If that story wasn’t traumatizing enough after Helen had her stroke, we will be getting a repeat performance.
It appears as though at least a few staff members will be put out of commission in a possible mass casualty event. The last one wasn’t all that long ago, so hopefully, this one will be slightly different; otherwise, it’s going to feel repetitive.
A new staff member is going to be joining the DamFam potentially. Even though it’s a little late for a new character, it could be interesting to see how the show’s dynamic is affected.
Max mandating staff to take a health day is a typical good-intentioned plan. However, it will be interesting to see the reaction from everyone as they are hard-wired to put their own needs after those of their patients and colleagues.
