With Daemon by her side, Rhaenyra is determined to return to King’s Landing and end the Hightower’s reign in Viserys’ name on House of the Dragon Season 1 Episode 8, “The Lord of the Tides.”

Once more, the series is thrusting the story forward with yet another time jump. After marrying Daemon and returning to Dragonstone to live their lives, it’s time for her to return to King’s Landing and stop the Hightower’s rule.

Otto becoming the hand to the king has played in Alicent’s favor and given the Hightower family a leg up in the fight for the throne. However, Rhaenyra won’t sit idly by and allow it to happen on her watch.

“The Lord of the Tides” is bound to be a notable episode within the season as Aegon makes his first moves against Rhaenyra for the throne. And based on the promo video below, there’ll also be a confrontation between Luke and Aemond stemming from their fight on “Driftmark.”

It’ll be interesting to see the new cast and how they fill their roles. The actor portraying an older Aegon looks like he could be a teenager, whereas the actor playing older Aemond looks like he could be in his late twenties or early thirties.
