Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 2, “Caught Between the Wrecking Ball and the Butterfly,” is going to have to pick up the pieces of the premiere.
Dr. Dylan Scott is gone, and April Sexton is back, meaning that fans are in for a season of shake-ups. April and Ethan have a long road ahead of them, but if anyone can face the challenges ahead, it’s them.

Supply chain disruptions are a part of the healthcare industry in real life, and Chicago Med is going to be tackling this here. It’s always interesting when real problems get translated on-screen.
Hopefully, Will will be given a chance to process recent events, given how abruptly everything has come screeching to a halt. He will need to be in a healthier place emotionally if he’s going to continue to love and support Dr. Hannah Asher.
Fans are also getting another new resident added to the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center roster. A new introduction always tests the team’s dynamics.
Maggie and Ben are at a crossroads, and this particular story may carry through the rest of the season. This could be a heartbreaking story to play out, or it could lead to needed character growth.
As always, there are sure to be high-stakes medical cases that border on the fantastical, but it’s what keeps viewers coming back for more.
