After traveling to Asia and Latin America, Netflix’s newest installment of its Street Food series is headed to the United States to explore the flavors and hear stories from 6 new cities. Street Food: USA drops Tuesday, July 26, on Netflix.

Series description: From the creators of Chef’s Table, the hit series Street Food returns to embark on a cultural journey into street food across America. After previous seasons shot in Asia and Latin America, the series travels to the U.S. to visit six cities: Los Angeles, Portland, New York, New Orleans, Oahu, and Miami. Disney+ delves into the history of movie magic. This new docuseries chronicles the work and innovations of Lucasfilm’s special effects division, Industrial Light and Magic. Light and Magic premieres Wednesday, July 27 on Disney+.

Let the chaos begin! Harley Quinn is back for its much anticipated third season. This time around, Harley and Ivy will be getting into trouble together as an official couple. Harley Quinn returns Thursday, July 28, on HBO Max.

Season description: The mayhem and madness continue in season three of this biting and uproarious adult animated comedy series. Wrapping up their “Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour,” Harley Quinn (Kaley Cuoco) and Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) return to Gotham as the new power couple of DC villainy. Along with their ragtag crew – King Shark (Ron Funches), Clayface (Alan Tudyk), Frank the Plant (JB Smoove) – “Harlivy” strives to become the best version of themselves while also working towards Ivy’s long desired plan of transforming Gotham into an Eden paradise.

Paper Girls – Friday, July 29

Adapted from the popular comic by Brian K. Vaughn, Paper Girls takes viewers on a nostalgic time travel adventure where past and future selves come face to face. The series stars Sofia Rosinsky, Camryn Jones, Riley Lai Nelet, and Fina Strazza. Adina Porter and Jason Mantzoukas also star. Paper Girls premieres Friday, July 29, on Prime Video. 

Series description: In the early morning hours after Halloween 1988, four paper girls—Erin, Mac, Tiffany, and KJ—are out on their delivery route when they become caught in the crossfire between warring time-travelers, changing the course of their lives forever. Transported into the future, these girls must figure out a way to get back home to the past, a journey that will bring them face-to-face with the grown-up versions of themselves. While reconciling that their futures are far different than their 12-year-old selves imagined, they are being hunted by a militant faction of time-travelers known as the Old Watch, who have outlawed time travel so that they can stay in power. In order to survive, the girls will need to overcome their differences and learn to trust each other, and themselves.

Guugu Mbatha-Raw stars as a woman trying to unravel secrets and mysteries after a head injury results in severe memory loss. Surface premieres July 29 on Apple TV+.

Series description: Set in high-end San Francisco, “Surface,” stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw (“The Morning Show”) as Sophie, a woman who has suffered a traumatic head injury that has left her with extreme memory loss, believed to be a result of a suicide attempt. As Sophie embarks on a quest to put the pieces of her life back together with the help of her husband and friends, she begins to question whether or not the truth she is told is in fact the truth she has lived. Through twists and turns and a shocking love triangle, this sexy, elevated thriller asks: What if you woke up one day and didn’t know your own secrets? “Surface” is a story of self-discovery which contemplates if we are pre-programmed to become who we are, or if we choose our own identity.

Purple Hearts– Friday, July 29

A marriage of convenience inevitably becomes much more in this new romantic drama. Purple Hearts premieres Friday, July 29, on Netflix. 

Film description: In spite of their many differences, Cassie (Sofia Carson), a struggling singer-songwriter, and Luke (Nicholas Galitzine), a troubled marine, agree to marry solely for military benefits. But when tragedy strikes, the line between real and pretend begins to blur.

Not Okay – Friday, July 29

Zoey Deutch plays a woman who learns about the ugly side of fame in this new dark comedy. Not Okay premieres Friday, July 29th on Hulu.
