Preview — The Sea Beast: Netflix’s New Animated Adventure Sets Sail
Fantastic creatures and high seas escapades take center stage for Netflix’s newest animated feature, The Sea Beast.
Set in a world of mythical beasts and larger-than-life heroes, The Sea Beast follows the unlikely duo of Jacob Holland, a legendary monster hunter, and Maise Bumble, an orphan with her own dreams of adventure and excitement at sea.
The series, which stars The Boys’ Karl Urban and Morbius’s Zaris-Angel Hator, had a limited theatrical release on June 24 and is will be making its Netflix debut on July 8.
The trailer for the film promises a fast-paced adventure with some beautiful animation. If the promo and preview images are anything to go by, viewers can also look forward to some fun creature designs and expansive worldbuilding.
Rounding out the rest of the cast are Dan Stevens, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Kathy Burke, and Jared Harris. The film was written and directed by Academy Award winner Chris Williams. Williams is also responsible for the family favorites Moana, Big Hero Six, and Bolt.
