‘Bad Sisters’ Trailer Released by Apple TV+
Sharon Horgan’s latest witty, dark comedy for the small screen, Bad Sisters, debuts on Apple TV+ next month with an all-star cast. The comedy combines family drama and a murder mystery — all set to a Brandi Carlile song.
Bad Sisters follows the “tight-knit” Garvey Sisters, who get wrapped up in an investigation when their brother-in-law winds up dead. His life insurers have questions regarding foul play, and their sights are set on the sisters.

However, the sisters’ attempts to prove their innocence become quite the task since they all “had ample reason to kill him.”
The full-length trailer shows Claes Bang’s character’s emotional and verbal abuse of his wife, played by Anne-Marie Duff, a TV icon in her own right.
Duff is known for her roles on shows like the UK’s Shameless and His Dark Materials. Recently, the actress played Maeve Wiley’s mother on Sex Education.

On Bad Sisters, the Garvey sisters presumably decide to give nature the extra push by plotting the death of their brother-in-law. Horgan’s character notes that “he’s sucking the life out of” their sister.
So, the trailer — set to Brandi Carlile’s “Raise Hell” — suggests they take matters into their own hands. However, prospective viewers will have to stream the first two episodes on Friday, August 19, to know more about this murder mystery.
The 10-episode season of the Apple TV+ series will follow its two-episode premiere with weekly episodes every Friday through October 14.

The series comes from Emmy Award nominee and BAFTA Award-winning creator and star Sharon Horgan. Horgan has worked on acclaimed projects like Catastrophe and This Way Up.
Bad Sisters marks the first project to premiere from Horgan’s first-look deal with Apple TV+ and is produced by her Merman production company. Horgan, Faye Dorn, and Clelia Mountford executive produce for Merman. The series is also produced by ABC Signature, a part of Disney Television Studios.
Horgan’s many hats for the series include executive producer and writer alongside Brett Baer and Dave Finkel, who adapted it from the Belgian version of the series Clan, which Malin-Sarah Gozin created. Karen Cogan, Ailbhe Keogan, Daniel Cullen, Perrie Balthazar, and Paul Howard are also writers on Bad Sisters.
In addition to Horgan, Duff, and Bang, the Bad Sisters ensemble cast includes Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene, and Eve Hewson as the Garvey sisters, while Brian Gleeson, Daryl McCormack, Assaad Bouab, and newcomer Saise Quinn round out the cast. Dearbhla Walsh, Josephine Bornebusch, and Rebecca Gatward serve as directors. Walsh also serves as executive producer.
