Previews, The Boys

The Boys is back for its highly anticipated Season 3 after a lengthy hiatus, and nothing is the same.

The Boys Season 3 Episode 1-3, “Payback,” “The Only Man In The Sky,” and “Barbary Coast” will immerse the audience in the new dynamic the series is aiming for and catch them up to speed after a time-jump.

It’s been a year since Becca’s unfortunate death, Stormfront’s dismemberment, and Victoria Neuman’s jaw-dropping actions in the finale to secure her new position.

Now, according to the promo video, Homelander is answering for his connections to Stormfront to the public while secretly losing his mind, Butcher is going against his inner principles, and Compound V is getting an upgrade.

Oh, and there’s a Federal Bureau of Supernatural Affairs, where Hughie works tracking down delinquent supes and directly gives orders to Butcher while following orders from Neuman.

As we said, the game has changed significantly.

One interesting highlight from the promo is Butcher’s use of the new Compound V and this newfound stance on supes that he’s entertaining.

He is breaking his moral code by using Compound V in the long run, even if it’s to take Homelander down. All he’s ever done is bash supes and despise their existence, so it’ll be interesting to see where his headspace is and how Ryan will factor into those decisions.

And of course, we can’t forget to mention the introduction of Jensen Ackles’ character this season, Soldier Boy. While we may not get to see much of his presence throughout the promo, we know he’ll make a significant impact and is sure to deliver some gnarly action sequences.

Check out the photos, character portraits, and promo video below for a preview!

Season 3 Description:

It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious Anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into the Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy.
