Motherland: Fort Salem, News

The Great War is upon us!

Motherland: Fort Salem‘s Season 3 premiere is only a week and a half away, and Freeform finally gives us the content we need by dropping the official trailer for the season!

The Season 3 trailer gives us the first glimpse of life on the run for Tally, Abigail, Raelle, Scylla, Nicte, Adil, and Khalida as they hide out in the Cession. But, as the trailer reveals, the government’s search for them has not let up.

The Camarilla and the government are working side by side to hunt our favorite witches, and it seems nothing will deter them. In fact, they seem to have the upper hand all around.

In a tiny glimpse, we see someone in the Camarilla break through Adil’s invisibility field, Anacostia and Sterling are held in a chamber by Hearst, and we see the Camarilla with an army of hundreds.

However, while most of the trailer paints a grim future for the leads of Motherland: Fort Salem, there are one or two exciting teasers included in the mix. First off, is that a double wedding!?

Abigail/Adil and Raelle/Scylla having a double wedding together would be the most adorable thing the series has ever given the fans. But, with President Wade officiating in the glimpse, we can’t get our hopes up just yet. Based on our last interactions with Wade, it feels too good to be authentic and more like a potential dream sequence.

Second, it looks like Tally’s powers will come in clutch this season as they continue to evolve. Another thrilling aspect of this is the Nicte/Tally team-ups we will get in Season 3!

Lastly, Alder is alive! Based on the very ending scene of the Season 2 finale, we knew we hadn’t seen the last of Alder but were unsure just how we’d be introduced again.

It’s still unclear if we see Alder in the real world or the mycelium in the trailer, but either way, she’s back!

Undoubtedly, Alder will play a pivotal role in taking out the Camarilla once and for all.

Motherland: Fort Salem Season 3 description: Now without a military nor a home, they seek protection alongside the Dodger community in the Cession — but laying low and staying out of trouble has never been their strong suit. With witch hunters working against them from inside the White House, our heroes must call upon ancient forces in the final battle for their right to exist.
