If there was ever an occasion for Matt Casey to return to Chicago, it’s for his best friend’s wedding.

After exiting the series earlier this season, Jesse Spencer returns for a visit on Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 22, “The Magnificent City of Chicago,” just in time to be a part of Kelly and Stella’s wedding.

Casey gets a cheerful greeting at Firehouse 51, plus a few jokes at his expense about living in Portland. “I’m surprised you’re not rocking a man-bun by now, riding around on a solar-powered unicycle!” Mouch says.

Herrmann gets to the point, asking when Casey will move back, to which Casey just replies, “Are the Chicago winters still like I remember?” Casey is also happily greeted by Boden and Violet.

When Spencer exited the series, he noted there was always a chance that he could return, as the actor was still residing in Chicago. It’s even more of a treat that he’s back so soon, and for a season finale.

However, it may also mean a change in his relationship with Sylvie Brett, which has been a long-distance one since his departure.
