Preview — New Amsterdam Season 4 Episode 18: No Ifs, Ands, or Buts

The emotional devastation may well continue for the DamFam on New Amsterdam Season 4 Episode 18, “No Ifs, Ands or Buts.”

The DamFam is still picking up the pieces from the emotional and chaotic two-part season return. The drama shows absolutely no signs of stopping. 

New Amsterdam has not let up since returning from hiatus for the final episodes of this season. There are so many fates still in the balance. Sharpwin fans have tasted paradise with that proposal, but the journey still isn’t over for Helen (Freema Agyeman) and Max (Ryan Eggold).

New Amsterdam fans know Sharpwin can handle what’s in front of them. It’s just too bad they have to continue to suffer. One thing that’s been clear since this season return is that choices need to be made and soon regarding…certain other relationships that have been shown so far. 

Veronica Fuentes (Michelle Forbes) has been mercifully absent since New Amsterdam has returned. That seems likely to change very soon. Hopefully, it will be because she leaves for good. From the preview, this could very well be the beginning of the end for this character who’s caused so much destruction. 

Whatever happens, we’re cheering for Helen in particular as she recovers. She’s got this!

Episode description: Max orchestrates a plan to get Dr. Fuentes terminated from New Amsterdam once and for all. Helen confronts her medical complication. Iggy helps two patients deal with a breakup, which forces him to consider his own marriage. Bloom and Dr. Castries reach an understanding.
