Preview — This Is Us Season 6 Episode 8: The Guitar Man

This is a Kevin Pearson-centric episode!

That’s right, Kevin will be the first of the Big Three to receive his final character study with This Is Us Season 6 Episode 8, “The Guitar Man.”

The actor has had a rough go on This Is Us, struggling to win over fans early on with his reckless, entitled behavior. But after fighting to stay sober, Kevin reconnected with Rebecca and proved he could rise to the occasion.

Fast forward to the final chapter and Kevin is easily one of the most likable of the Pearson clan, but like any changed man he still has a lot to figure out. So this stand-alone episode could not have come at a better time.

And figure it out we will as Kevin takes the twins to the cabin on a solo trip to prove himself as a father. Nicky will tag along with his new lover and is sure to give us plenty of wholesome uncle content.

What’s interesting about this episode is how little it plays into Kevin’s two vices, Sophie and alcohol. There’s no teasing of a relapse or a reunion. This episode seems devoted to exploring Kevin’s character as an entire entity and that’s intriguing.

But that doesn’t mean we are not still dying to see a potential Sophie and Kevin reunion.
