Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of January 30th! We’ll be sharing our picks for what to watch this week, from marathons to big guest spots, and significant episodes of TV to look forward to while stuck inside.

This week’s picks include We Need to Talk About Cosby, a new season of Raising Dion, and more.

We Need to Talk About Cosby – Sunday, January 30

W. Kamau Bell’s latest docuseries takes a look at the former comedian from the perspective of everything audiences know about him now. We Need to Talk About Cosby debuts Sunday, January 30 at 10/9c on Showtime.

Series Description: Writer/director W. Kamau Bell’s exploration of Bill Cosby’s descent from “America’s Dad” to alleged sexual predator. Comedians, journalists and Cosby survivors have a candid, first of its kind conversation about the man, his career and his crimes.

Your Attention Please – Tuesday, February 1

Craig Robinson returns to host a new season filled with stories of another group of Black creators and innovators, looking at how they’ve changed the game, and their path to success. Your Attention Please returns Tuesday, February 1 on Hulu.

Raising Dion – Tuesday, February 1

After what’s felt like a very long hiatus, Dion, Nicole, and company are back and ready to expand the powered world they are living in as Dion continues his training to better control his power as a new danger lurks. Raising Dion returns Tuesday, February 1 on Netflix.

Season Description: Raising Dion follows the story of Nicole (Alisha Wainwright) and her son Dion (Ja’Siah Young) after Dion starts to manifest several mysterious, superhero-like abilities. Two years after defeating the Crooked Man (Jason Ritter), Season Two follows Dion as he continues honing his powers with the support of his mom and Tevin (Rome Flynn), his Biona trainer who catches Nicole’s eye. After befriending new student Brayden (Griffin Robert Faulkner) – a fellow powered kid – a series of alarming events unfold, and Dion learns that danger is still looming. Navigating twists, turns, and surprise visitors, Dion and Nicole must prevail again — not just to save themselves, but the entire city of Atlanta.

The latest Netflix documentary follows the life and story of a man who took a dating app and turned it into a get-rich-quick scheme. However, he soon found himself being the target of the women he’s conned. The Tinder Swindler debuts Wednesday, February 2 on Netflix.

Special Description: Swipe, swipe, swipe… It’s not easy to find love online, so when Cecilie matches with a handsome billionaire playboy, she can’t quite believe it when he turns out to be the man of her dreams. But dreams aren’t reality and by the time she discovers this international businessman isn’t who he says he is, it’s too late. He’s taken her for everything. Where this fairytale ends, a revenge thriller begins. Cecilie discovers his other targets and once they band together, they’re victims no more: The Tinder Swindler meets his match.

Netflix’s latest comedy experiment is led by Will Arnett, who plays Detective Terry Seattle, and he spends each episode trying to solve a case with a special guest star. The experimental aspect of it all is that the guest star doesn’t have a script. Murderville debuts Thursday, February 3 on Netflix.

Series Description: Meet Senior Detective Terry Seattle (Will Arnett), Homicide Division. For Terry, every day means a new murder case and a new celebrity guest star as his partner. But here’s the catch: each episode’s guest star isn’t being given the script. They have no idea what’s about to happen to them. Together, the guest star and Terry Seattle will have to improvise their way through the case… but it will be up to each celebrity guest alone to name the killer. Join them as they punch a one-way ticket to Murderville

Book of Love – Friday, February 4

Sam Claflin stars in the latest Prime Video rom-com acquisition as an English writer facing an uphill battle in the face of his latest novel’s failure everywhere, except in Mexico where the book that is a hit isn’t necessarily the book he wrote. Book of Love debuts Friday, February 4 on Prime Video.

Movie Description:  Young, uptight English writer Henry’s (Sam Claflin) novel is a resolute failure. He is delighted to find out his book is a surprise hit in Mexico, but when he is invited there to promote it, he soon discovers why—his Spanish translator Maria (Verónica Echegui) has rewritten his dull book as an erotic novel. Henry is furious, and even more so when his publisher insists he and Maria conduct a book tour across Mexico together. Opposites attract, and the chemistry between the couple ensures sparks fly.  

Reacher – Friday, February 4

Jack Reacher is back with a new series based on the first novel, Killing Floor, as it follows the former investigator as he is framed for a crime he didn’t commit. Reacher premieres Friday, February 4 on Prime Video.

Series Description: Reacher follows Jack Reacher, a veteran military police investigator who has just recently entered civilian life. Reacher is a drifter, carrying no phone and the barest of essentials as he travels the country and explores the nation he once served. When Reacher arrives in the small town of Margrave, Georgia, he finds a community grappling with its first homicide in 20 years. The cops immediately arrest him and eyewitnesses claim to place Reacher at the scene of the crime. While he works to prove his innocence, a deep-seated conspiracy begins to emerge, one that will require Reacher’s keen mind and hard-hitting fists to deal with. One thing above all is for sure: They picked the wrong guy to take the fall.

Through My Window – Friday, February 4

A tale of a teenage girl crushing on her neighbor from afar is a tale as old as time, and Netflix’s latest foreign film follows along those lines. The only thing is that Raquel makes it her mission to have Ares fall for her, but her mission comes with a clear line and that is not to lose everything to achieve it. Through My Window debuts Friday, February 4 on Netflix.

Movie Description: Raquel is madly and irrevocably in love with Ares, her attractive and mysterious neighbour. The thing is, she has watched him from afar because, much to her dismay, they haven’t exchanged a single word. But Raquel has a very clear mission: to make Ares fall in love with her. However, she is not an innocent, helpless girl and she is certainly not prepared to lose everything to achieve her goal, most importantly not herself…
