Max reaches his breaking point when Fuentes plans another shocking budget cut on New Amsterdam Season 4 Episode 8, “Paid in Full.”

We hoped Fuentes really wasn’t going to be the villain the show portrayed her as when the season began. However, she’s turned out to be so much worse. Honestly, how does she expect to run a hospital if she fires all the top doctors?

By their own admission, there’s a lot of relationship details Max and Helen haven’t discussed. We think his wavering commitment to leaving should be at the top of the list.

It’s not like Helen seems super thrilled to go home either, but the fact they haven’t talked about it, doesn’t bode well. They’ve basically jumped several steps, and just started living as a family without doing the hard work.

  • I hate this storyline of New Amsterdam right now. I usually love the show, but the firing of beloved characters and letting that disgusting woman take over is just too much. Writers beware I will stop watching if you keep this storyline going! Give us back the New Amsterdam that we love.
