Men in Kilts Is Headed to New Zealand in Season 2
Men in Kilts wrapped its first season back in April, but Outlander fans haven’t seen the last of Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish’s real-life adventures. The series has been renewed for a second outing at STARZ — and Men in Kilts Season 2 will transport viewers to New Zealand.
The upcoming season will be slightly shorter than the first. Clocking in at six episodes rather than Season 1’s eight, it will see Sam and Graham “revel in the Scottish influence of New Zealand, while diving into its own history.”
The duo traipsed through Scotland in Men in Kilts Season 1, exploring the very place where Outlander films. Sam and Graham covered the history of the country, all while entertaining viewers with their travels.
The pair announced Season 2 on Starz’s YouTube channel, expressing gratitude for everyone who tuned in for the first batch of episodes.

“We’re going to be enjoying ourselves in the footsteps of the Scottish immigrants that went there in the early 19th century,” McTavish said, “and finding all things kiwi — and finding out why it is the Scotland of the Southern Hemisphere.”
“Not only that,” Heughan added, “We’re going to be looking at the culture of New Zealand, the food, the drink, the Māori culture, the high-octane activities, the death-defying adrenaline junkie adventures we can go on. It is going to be a lot of fun.”
Heughan didn’t elaborate on those high-octane activities, but it sounds like Men in Kilts Season 2 will prove another entertaining ride with these two. Those who haven’t checked out season 1 can watch it on the Starz app beforehand.
And Men in Kilts’ isn’t the only reason for Outlander fans to rejoice. The popular Starz series will return on March 6, 2022, leaving us with plenty to look forward to in the near future.
There’s no word on when Men in Kilts Season 2 might arrive, but we’ll be waiting not-so-patiently for it. In the meantime, check out the official announcement below:
