What to Watch on TV: Babysitter’s Club, Batwoman, Dopesick
Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of October 10th! We’ll be sharing our picks for what to watch this week, from marathons to big guest spots, and significant episodes of TV to look forward to this week.
This week’s picks include the return of The Babysitters Club, Batwoman, and Legends of Tomorrow, Dopesick’s premiere, and more.

Legends of the Hidden Temple – Sunday, October 10

The beloved children’s game show is back with a CW-esque angle as teams of adults compete for $25,000. They’ll tackle tougher challenges and one talking rock. Hosted by Cristela Alonzo, Legends of the Hidden Temple debuts Sunday, October 10 at 8/7c on The CW.
Series Description: Hosted by Cristela Alonzo, the 2021 adult version of Legends of the Hidden Temple is taken out of a studio and into a “jungle,” and scaled up with tougher challenges and a much bigger prize on the line — $25,000. It preserves the original Nickelodeon series’ favorite elements including: “Olmec” (the giant talking stone head) voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, the original voice and puppeteer, the “Moat Crossing,” “The Steps of Knowledge,” “The Temple Games,” the “Temple Run,” and of course, the iconic team names: “Purple Parrots,” “Blue Barracudas,” “Orange Iguanas,” “Red Jaguars,” “Silver Snakes” and “Green Monkeys”
The Equalizer – Sunday, October 10

Just when she thinks she’s out, they pull her back into her work as a new client reaches out for help on cracking a string of bank robberies. Will McCall solve it?The Equalizer returns Sunday, October 10 at 8/7c on CBS.

The Babysitters Club – Monday, October 11

Your favorite babysitters are back and ready to deal with new issues, new clients, and more. The Babysitters Club returns Monday, October 11 on Netflix.
Season Description: Based on the best-selling book series by Ann M. Martin, The Baby-Sitters Club is a contemporary dramedy that follows the friendship and adventures of seven friends as they start their own babysitting business in Stoneybrook, Connecticut. As demand for their club continues to grow, founders Kristy Thomas, Mary-Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill, and Dawn Schafer have now welcomed Mallory Pike and Jessi Ramsey to their ranks. With the new school year comes booming business, new relationships, personal journeys, and important lessons, but through it all the club is there for each other every step of the way.
The Movies That Made Us – Tuesday, October 12
Take a look behind another batch of some fan-favorite movies and what made them special, from Aliens to Friday the 13th. A new season of The Movies That Made Us drops Tuesday, October 12 on Netflix.
Season Description: This docuseries that takes you behind the scenes to show you how some classic films were made. Each episode focuses on a specific movie, telling the tale of how it was made from beginning to end.
Dopesick – Wednesday, October 13

The horrifying and true opioid addiction epidemic is told through this limited series as it follows a small-town Virginia doctor and patients who become victims at the hands of Big Pharma and their craven tactics of pushing a pill out on the market. Dopesick debuts Wednesday, October 13 on Hulu.
Series Description: The series takes viewers to the epicenter of America’s struggle with opioid addiction, from the boardrooms of Big Pharma to a distressed Virginia mining community, to the hallways of the DEA. Defying all the odds, heroes will emerge in an intense and thrilling ride to take down the craven corporate forces behind this national crisis and their allies.
Legends of Tomorrow – Wednesday, October 13

After the shortest hiatus the series has ever had, the Legends are back and find themselves dealing with a destroyed Waverider and being stranded in 1920s Texas. Legends of Tomorrow returns Wednesday, October 13 at 8/7c on The CW.
Episode Description: After defeating the aliens and saving Earth, the Legends find themselves stranded in 1925 Odessa, Texas with a destroyed Waverider. Wanting to help fix things, Astra (Olivia Swann) tries using her powers, which creates unwanted attention from the town and that of the new Director of the Bureau of Investigation, J. Edgar Hoover, and a surprise no one expected. Realizing they need to escape, Sara (Caity Lotz) and Ava (Jes Macallan) create a distraction by going on a crime spree with Hoover hot on their tails. Meanwhile, Zari (Tala Ashe) is finding it hard to get over Constantine, so Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) suggests the only thing he knows that can help.
Batwoman – Wednesday, October 13

The Batcrew find themselves dealing with changes, truths dropped on them, and their new freedom as the series returns. Batwoman Season 3 premieres on Wednesday, October 13 at 9/8c on The CW.
Episode Description: As Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) continues to keep the streets of Gotham safe, Batwing (Camrus Johnson) joins in on the action, but Luke quickly realizes he hasn’t quite mastered his suit. Meanwhile, as Alice (Rachel Skarsten) sits hopelessly imprisoned in Arkham, Sophie (Meagan Tandy) fully enjoys her freedom. When Ryan pays Alice a visit to ask about the bombshell she dropped — that Ryan’s birth mother is still alive — Ryan must decide if she should go down the rabbit hole of her past. What Happened, Brittany Murphy? – Thursday, October 14
The latest docuseries dives into the life and circumstances behind the death of young actress, Brittany Murphy. The two-party documentary attempts to understand what contributed to her untimely passing and the influences around her. What Happened, Brittany Murphy? Debuts Thursday, October 14 on HBO Max.
Documentary Description: The documentary is an intimate, in-depth character portrait of actress Brittany Murphy, going beyond the headlines to explore the mysterious circumstances surrounding her tragic death at 32 years old.
Halloween Kills – Friday, October 15
The Halloween franchise is back and is ready to end Michael Myers’ reign once and for all as Laurie recruits a group to hunt down the killer, ending the decades-long nightmare. Halloween Kills makes its streaming debut Friday, October 15 on Peacock.
Movie Description: An injured Laurie Strode leads a vigilante mob to hunt down unstoppable killer Michael Myers and end his reign of terror once and for all.
The Trip – Friday, October 15

A couple struggling with marital issues take a weekend away, and they soon find themselves in over their head. The Trip premieres Friday, October 15 on Netflix.
Movie Description: Lars (Aksel Hennie) and Lisa (Noomi Rapace) have lost much of the love that brought them together in the first place. Now, they’re struggling to maintain their marriage, and their ambitions. Lars’ career as a director has stalled out in soap operas, and Lisa hasn’t landed a part in years. Lars feels ignored, suspects he’s being cheated on, and struggles financially. Lisa thinks Lars is a spoiled, self-centered coward. Nothing about their lives turned out the way they’d thought it would – their marriage least of all. So a weekend trip to the family cabin in the woods seems to offer them both an opportunity to get rid of the other. Permanently. But not even this goes according to plan. The trip involves more surprises and unforeseen turns of events than they’d imagined.
You – Friday, October 15

Joe and Love move to a new town and deal with the idyllic concept of marriage and parenthood. But can they keep the façade going with all of their faults? You returns Friday, October 15 on Netflix.
