Preview — Legacies Season 4 Episode 1: You Have To Pick One This Time

Legacies, Previews

Legacies Season 4 Episode 1, “You Have To Pick One This Time,” returns after a short hiatus on October 14th.

Covid-19 interrupted sets all over, leaving a number of shows to end their last seasons early, and Legacies is no different.

Originally Season 3 was supposed to have twenty episodes, but due to production shutdowns, it wrapped with sixteen episodes. So, the first four episodes of Season 4 are going to be the original last four episodes of Season 3. With that being said, fans are undoubtedly in for a world of hurt at the beginning of Season 4.

Season 3 of Legacies ends on a major cliffhanger, leaving everything in the air. Landon is actually Malivore, Cleo’s stuck in the pit again, and Hope’s come to terms with what she must do. It’s time for her to stop avoiding the inevitable and trigger her tribrid side. There’s been enough buildup to Hope’s tribrid side, so it’ll be exciting to see her possibly embrace it.

If the trailer is any indication, Season 4 is going to be full of suspense and scarier than ever. Upping the horror side of the monster of the week scenario will be a nice twist. Not that there haven’t been frightening monsters in the past, but a true horror feel has been long-awaited. Increasing the scare value is exactly what the show needs to bring a fresh new feel to the same theme.

Episode description: After learning that Malivore has taken over Landon’s body, Hope and the Super Squad come up with a risky plan to rescue Landon, as well as Cleo, who has been absorbed into Malivore’s darkness. Meanwhile, an impromptu date with Finch brings up a subject that Josie is not ready to talk about.
