Preview — Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 Episodes 9 and 10: The Last Day, Part 1 / The Last Day, Part 2
Here come the waterworks. The Brooklyn Nine-Nine series finale is upon us.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 Episodes 9 and 10, “The Last Day, Part 1” and “The Last Day, Part 2,” reflect on the squad’s eight years of sitcom service with a thoughtful trip down memory lane that will have the precinct on their feet and exploring the city together.
Much of the 1-hour event is being kept top-secret to ensure this final mission keeps us on our toes.
We do know something has the Nine-Nine taking to the streets for an investigation. Charles is even holding a slip of paper — a clue to a heist, perhaps?
There isn’t a pumpkin in site but one can still dream of a traditional Halloween Heist to close out this series properly. At this point, any version of the iconic heist would be acceptable. As long as there is a heist, Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
It’s not all about the past and the heists. The finale will also explore what the future will hold for the squad, including whether or not Jake Peralta’s path as a parent will include staying on the police force.
As far as expectations go, this finale has the ability to go big with potential cameos from Gina and Bruce Willis. It also has the potential to double down on the found family that made this cop sitcom’s complicated legacy so compelling in the first place.
Whatever this loveable comedy chooses to do, we have to assume it will be toit.
