Disney+ Renews The Mysterious Benedict Society
Throwing continued support behind another successful series, Disney+ has renewed The Mysterious Benedict Society for a second season.
Fans of this adaptation of Trenton Lee Stewart’s book series will be pleased to know more adventures are in the pipeline for the “four intrepid orphans” and Mr. Benedict himself, played by Tony Hale. These will be put in the works when the series resumes filming early next year.

As reported by Deadline, the second season will begin as the characters reunite a year after their first mission. The sophomore outing will focus on our heroes’ efforts against L.D. Curtain, a villain who just happens to be Mr. Benedict’s twin brother.
The executive producers and showrunners of The Mysterious Benedict Society shared their appreciation of the renewal and of the books the series is based on.

Per Deadline: “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to continue our journey into Trenton Lee Stewart’s witty, warm and wonderful world in a second season of The Mysterious Benedict Society,” Hay, Manfredi, Slavkin and Swimmer said in a statement.
“This has already been such a special experience, thanks to our remarkable cast and collaborators. The belief that 20th Television and Disney+ have shown in our show and their commitment to its values of kindness, empathy and the celebration of different ways of being make this all very much a joy.”
