Big Brother Season 23 Week 9 Recap: The Return of Zingbot and the Double Eviction
The Big Brother house gets a lot more exciting with the return of Zingbot and a Double Eviction.
But before Zingbot makes his return we must discuss the mishap Tiffany makes earlier in the week. It all begins when Tiffany refuses to throw the HOH competition to Kyland. This causes her Cookout Alliance members to question her allegiance to the group.
It makes zero sense for Tiffany to win this competition. Her friendship with Claire is the reason for her greed. But having Claire leave one week earlier than she originally plans isn’t going to change the game. The Cookout still is the dominating alliance of the Big Brother season, regardless of Claire or Alyssa meeting Julie on eviction night first.

It makes sense for Tiffany to want to keep Claire until week 10. Alyssa is the one houseguest she has not talked strategy with at all in the game. So if Alyssa wins HOH next, Tiffany is definitely her target.
Though Tiffany deserves to win the game at this point, it is still exciting to see her have to put Claire on the block after Alyssa’s Veto win. Claire is quite the trooper after she hears the devastating news of going on the block. Remember this moment when making your pick for America’s Favorite Houseguest.
The moment Tiffany breaks the news to Claire about going on the block is the most heartfelt moment of Big Brother Season 23. It is clear that Tiffany is quite fond of Claire, but she needs to keep her allegiance to The Cookout intact to progress further in the game. Their friendship is something that will continue outside the game and perhaps on a future season of The Amazing Race?

And something that is completely not heartfelt but still close to my heart is the return of Zingbot. His roasting of the Big Brother houseguests is truly a treat every season. However, some of these zings fall flat compared to past jokes at the houseguests’ expense.
Zingbot’s roast of Hannah was the best joke by far. Hannah is the houseguest I always forget is in the game, especially on the earlier weeks of Big Brother. Clearly, I am not the only person that feels she is lacking the personality that makes for great television.
Hannah is probably one of the most genuine and nicest houseguests on Big Brother Season 23. Sadly, this gets shadowed by others who are over the top and argumentative like Derek F. or Britini. Claire also falls into the extremely nice category but has been able to get more screen time especially when she is interacting with Tiffany.

Derek X. is another houseguest that is easy to get along within the house. The reason he was able to appear so frequently on our screens is that he is a competition beast. This makes him a worthy competitor for America’s Favorite Houseguest against Claire.
The Double Eviction is another favorite and makes its debut for the first time this week on Big Brother Season 23. However, everything is already drawn in the sand for Claire, even her powerful speech about Xavier winning the game if he stays is not enough to break up The Cookout.
Her speech is 100% spot on about Xavier. He is playing an excellent game and if he does not win the next HOH, he should be the next target. The remaining houseguests are now realizing they do not want to go to the end of the game with him because they all (aside from maybe Tiffany) will lose.

Alyssa ends up with the same fate as Claire by the end of Double Eviction night. It is humorous that she still does not realize The Cookout alliance exists. Hannah gets a lot of credit for making Alyssa believe she is never the intended target, but it is highly unlikely Alyssa will vote for Hannah to win Big Brother if she is in the final two.
Congratulations to The Cookout. They are one of the strongest alliances to play the Big Brother game. Now the fun finally begins as the tight-knit group must turn on one another!
