‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 18 Adds Peter Gallagher in Recurring Role
- Grey’s Anatomy won’t be resting on its laurels in Season 18. Deadline reports, TV vet Peter Gallagher is joining the medical drama in a recurring role.
- His Dr. Alan Hamilton used to know Meredith’s dead mother Dr. Ellis Grey, who Kate Burton will once again portray in Season 18.
- While there is no word on how Ellis will return, flashbacks are the most likely guess.
- Gallagher was most recently seen as Zoey’s father Mitch on Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 1.
- Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 premieres Thursday, Sept. 30 at 9/8c on ABC.

Paramount Releases ‘Yellowstone’ Season 4 Premiere Date, Teaser
- Yellowstone fans will finally find out if the Duttons survived the attack on the family, as the Paramount Network drama returns for Season 4 Sunday, Nov. 7, per Deadline.
- When we left off with Yellowstone Season 3, John was shot on the side of the road, Beth’s office was firebombed, and Kayce was very outgunned in a shootout.
- The first two episodes of Yellowstone Season 4 will also be a jumping off point for spinoff prequel 1883, which follows “the Dutton family’s epic frontier journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America, which led them to settle in Montana.”
- 1883 stars Sam Elliot, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, and premieres Sunday, Dec. 19 on Paramount+.
- The network is also planning to use Yellowstone to launch new Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown. Starring Jeremy Renner and Dianne Wiest, it focuses on the McLusky family, and premieres Sunday, Nov. 14.
- “They are power brokers running for-profit prisons in Kingstown, MI. The drama tackles themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, providing a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.”
- Both 1883 and Mayor of Kingstown will air on Paramount Network on their premiere dates, following that night’s episode of Yellowstone.
- Yellowstone Season 4 premieres Sunday, Nov. 7 on Paramount Network.
- 1883 premieres Sunday, Dec. 19 on Paramount+.
- Mayor of Kingstown premieres Sunday, Nov. 14 on Paramount+.
Jason Alexander to Guest Star on ‘The Conners’
- TV favorite Jason Alexander is set to guest star on The Conners Season 4, per TVLine.
- He will play Pastor Phil, Darlene’s new unconventional spiritual advisor, in two episodes. “He uses humor and unflinching honesty to spread the good word.”
- Phil is a speaker at Becky’s AA meeting, which Darlene attends to hear him. Darlene needs guidance after she was unexpectedly dumped by Ben.
- Alexander currently recurs on Young Sheldon as Mr. Lundy, the high school drama teacher.
- The Conners Season 4 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 9/8c on ABC.

Peacock Orders ‘Field of Dreams’ Series
- Fresh off the success of Major League Baseball’s first ever Field of Dreams game between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees, Peacock is continuing the nostalgia by ordering a series based on the 1989 film starring Kevin Costner.
- Deadline reports, the series, which is executive produced by Mike Schur, “will reimagine the mixture of family, baseball, Iowa and magic that makes the movie so enduring and beloved.”
- Field of Dreams stars Costner as Ray Kinsella, a man who builds a baseball field on his farm. He then finds that the ghosts of baseball icons show up to play on his field.
- “Through the years, Field of Dreams has remained a fan favorite, maintaining its rightful position in the zeitgeist,” said Lisa Katz, President of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “It’s whimsical and grounded, a space where Mike Schur excels, and we’re looking forward to bringing a new version of this classic to Peacock.”
- Schur is known for comedies The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Parks and Recreation.

‘Queer as Folk’ Adds Jesse James Keitel as Series Regular
- Big Sky’s loss is Queer as Folk’s gain. The Peacock reboot has added Jesse James Keitel as a series regular.
- Variety reports, Keitel will play “a trans, semi-reformed party girl who is struggling to grow up.”
- After being a series regular in Big Sky Season 1, they are set to recur in Season 2.
- Queer as Folk focuses on “a diverse group of friends in New Orleans, whose lives are transformed in the aftermath of a tragedy.”
- The series is based on the 1999 ground-breaking British drama following the lives of three gay men. It was then adapted into a popular Showtime version that ran for five seasons.
- Queer as Folk is currently set to begin production in New Orleans in the fall.
- The original UK Queer as Folk is streaming on Pluto TV, with the Showtime version available on Hulu.

‘Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem’ Announces Premiere Date
- Soap fans rejoice! Peacock’s spinoff Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem will hit screens Monday, Sept. 6, per TVLine.
- The five episode series follows a connected story over a long weekend where, “John and Marlena travel to Zurich; Ben and Ciara have a romantic getaway in New Orleans; Chad visits some old friends in Phoenix; and Abe, Paulina, Lani, and Eli vacation in Miami. All find themselves embroiled in a mystery involving stolen jewels which, in the wrong hands, could cause dire consequences for Salem. It’s a race against time for ISA agent Billie Reed as she crosses the globe in search of this missing treasure.”
- The project features several Days of Our Lives favorites including Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, James Reynolds, Jackée Harry, and Victoria Konefal, as well as returning cast members Lisa Rinna, Eileen Davidson, Christie Clark, Austin Peck, Thaao Penghlis, Leann Hunley, Greg Rikaart, Chandler Massey, and Zachary Atticus Tinker.
- Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem premieres Monday, Sept. 6 on Peacock, with the finale airing Friday, Sept. 10.
