Jacob Anderson to Star as Louis in ‘Interview With The Vampire’
- AMC’s Interview With The Vampire has found its Louis in a former Game of Thrones star.
- Deadline reports, Jacob Anderson will take on the role of Louis in the adaptation of Anne Rice’s popular books. He will star opposite Sam Reid’s Lestat.
- Louis was famously played by Brad Pitt in the 1994 movie.
- Anderson’s Grey Worm joined Game of Thrones in Season 3, and was one of the few characters who survived until the series ended.
- In addition to playing Louis, Anderson is also set to recur in Doctor Who Season 13 as Vinder.

‘The Flash’ Season 8 to Begin with 5-Part Event Featuring Arrowverse Favorites
- We may not get traditional multi-show Arrowverse crossovers for a while, but The Flash Season 8 will open with a guest star packed 5-part event titled “Armageddon.”
- DC Comics reports the official “Armageddon” logline reads, “a powerful alien threat arrives on Earth under mysterious circumstances and Barry (Grant Gustin), Iris (Candice Patton) and the rest of Team Flash are pushed to their limits in a desperate battle to save the world. But with time running out, and the fate of humanity at stake, Flash and his companions will also need to enlist the help of some old friends if the forces of good are to prevail.”
- The event features familiar Arrowverse faces Javicia Leslie as Batwoman, Brandon Routh as the Atom, Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Chyler Leigh as Sentinel, Kat McNamara as Mia Queen, Osric Chau as Ryan Choi, Tom Cavanagh as Reverse-Flash, and Neal McDonough as Damien Darhk.
- “Simply put, these are going to be some of the most emotional Flash episodes ever,” said executive producer Eric Wallace. “Plus, there are some truly epic moments and huge surprises that await our fans. And we’re doing them on a scale that’s bigger and bolder than our traditional Flash episodes. So yes, ‘Armageddon’ is a lot more than just another graphic novel storyline. It’s going to be a true event for Flash and Arrowverse fans, old and new. Honestly, I can’t wait for audiences to see what we’ve got planned.”
- In The Flash Season 8 casting news, Deadline reports Tony Curran is set to play Despero, “a powerful and intelligent alien possessing incredible telepathic powers who left his homeworld—Kalanor—under mysterious circumstances. Now he’s facing a deadly mission on Earth, one whose outcome will decide the fate of humankind and put him on a collision course with Team Flash.”
- Curran is known for his work on Your Honor, Ray Donovan, and Defiance.
- The Flash Season 8 premieres Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 8/7c on The CW.

‘The Baby-Sitters Club’ Season 2 Set for October Premiere
- One of TV’s best surprise hits is back, as Netflix has announced a premiere date for The Baby-Sitters Club Season 2.
- Variety reports, the series based on the popular books will return Monday, Oct. 11. Season 2 features new cast members Kyndra Sanchez as Dawn, Vivian Watson as Mallory, and Anais Lee as Jessi.
- “In Season 2, we really get to see a maturation of the club and of the girls,” said creator and showrunner Rachel Shukert in a statement. “There are two new members, they’re all a year older and have more experience running a business, deeper friendships and are growing into a deeper understanding of themselves as people.”
- “We also wanted to continue exploring themes that allow all young viewers to see themselves represented on screen, while also dealing obliquely with many of the things we’ve all been through in the past year: loss, change, responsibility, and trying to find joy and meaning in unexpected places. I’m so excited for everyone to be back in Stoneybrook and back in business,” Shukert continued.
- The Baby-Sitters Club is now streaming on Netflix, with Season 2 premiering Monday, Oct. 11.

IMDB TV Announces October Return for ‘Leverage: Redemption’
- Get ready for more heists, because Leverage: Redemption is set to return Friday, Oct. 8, per TVLine.
- The final eight episodes of Leverage: Redemption Season 1 features guest stars LeVar Burton, James Marsters, Ben Thompson, Joanna Cassidy, Jon Fletcher, and Brianna Brown. Additionally, Drew Powell returns as Jack Hurley and Andrea Navedo is back as U.S. Marshal Maria Shipp.
- Recurring star Aldis Hodge will appear in one episode, while Parker portrayer Beth Riesgraf directs two episodes.
- Leverage: Redemption is now streaming on IMDB TV on Amazon Prime Video, with the final eight Season 1 episodes premiering Friday, Oct. 8.

‘Motherland: Fort Salem’ Gets Third and Final Season
- Freeform will give Motherland: Fort Salem fans a proper end, as the series has been renewed for a third and final season, per Variety.
- Motherland: Fort Salem Season 2 Episode 10, “Revolution, Part 1,” ended with the witches on the lam after finally defeating the Camarilla. We also didn’t get long to cry for Alder, as she was seemingly resurrected by the Mycelium.
- “We’re excited to bring Motherland: Fort Salem back for a third season,” Freeform President Tara Duncan said in a statement. “I am grateful to Eliot and the entire Motherland team. They have created a truly immersive mythology that has resonated with fans since day one, and I know this last chapter will continue to deliver.”
- Motherland: Fort Salem is streaming on Freeform.

Brandon Routh to Voice Lead in ‘Magic: The Gathering’
- Perennial movie and TV hero Brandon Routh is joining another major franchise. TVLine reports, he will be the voice of Gideon in Netflix’s Magic: The Gathering animated series.
- The announcement came during Wizard of the Coast’s Magic Showcase.
- “For those of you that don’t know, Gideon is known for being the strong guy who always stands up for what’s right, just and isn’t afraid to fight,” Routh said. “Now I understand why they hired me for this. Makes sense. But seriously, I’m really excited about this show and really proud and honored to be a part of it. I’m a huge Magic fan, I’ve been playing since I was 16. I’ve played many drafts over the years and have too many cards. More than I should.”
- Routh is most well known for his role of Ray Palmer/The Atom in Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and other Arrowverse shows. He is set to return as The Atom in The Flash 5-part event “Armageddon,” which premieres Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 8/7c on The CW.

‘Desus & Mero’ Renewed for Season 4
- Bodega hive stand up! Showtime has renewed late night talk show Desus & Mero for Season 4, per Deadline.
- The comedy series features longtime friends Desus Nice and The Kid Mero hilarious covering the news of the week and interviewing celebrity guests.
- After spending the year shooting the show from their homes, the duo recently returned to their brand new studio.
- In response to the news Desus tweeted, “the boys are back! @SHODesusAndMero is renewed for Season 4!”
- Desus & Mero airs Thursdays and Sundays at 11/10c on Showtime, and is set to return from hiatus in October.

‘Cobra Kai’ Renewed for Season 5
- There’s no fear in this dojo, because Cobra Kai has already been picked up for Season 5 at Netflix, per The Hollywood Reporter.
- Fresh off its four Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, and a few months ahead of its Season 4 premiere, Netflix announced it wants more of the ’80s reboot/sequel.
- Cobra Kai Season 4 will focus on Daniel and Johnny trying to rebuild their relationship and save their students from making the same mistakes they did. It also features the return of franchise vet Thomas Ian Griffith as Terry Silver, as well as another trip to the All Valley Karate Tournament.
- Cobra Kai is now streaming on Netflix, with Season 4 premiering in December.
