First Look at ‘Lucifer’ Season 6: Watch the Trailer!
Lucifans unite! After dropping a teaser trailer for Lucifer Season 6 during the show’s virtual ComicCon panel, Netflix has now released the full trailer for the final season.
The new season premieres September 10, just a few months after the second half of Lucifer Season 5 part 2 dropped.

When we left Luci and his crew, a battle for the throne of Heaven had just finished, ending with Chloe being fatally wounded by Michael, Lucifer sacrificing himself to save her life, therefore being deemed worthy of the title of God.
We didn’t technically see Lucifer ascend to the throne, so much of Lucifer Season 6 will likely follow this final journey.

While the end of Lucifer Season 5 Part 2 ended in a big battle for most of the characters, there was one main cast member notably absent. SPOILERS AHEAD: if you haven’t already caught up on Lucifer proceed at your own risk…

Dan, after having been kidnapped by mercenaries working for Michael and trying to find the Flaming Sword, is shot and killed while trying to escape. Luckily, no one is truly dead in Lucifer as the afterlife is obviously a major factor in a story about God and the Devil.

This seems most evident in the glimpses of Dan we see in the Lucifer Season 6 trailer. Amenadiel goes to check on Dan in Heaven after his death, only to discover the detective isn’t there. Does that mean he’s in Hell? Or is he in Purgatory, a biblical realm we haven’t really covered yet?
Kevin Alejandro did reveal in a recent interview that Dan would be back for the final season. “Dan is back in some capacity. I’m not sure that it’s in a way that people will expect,” he said.

Will Lucifer actually become God now that his father has retired? Will he and Chloe ever get a shot at a normal life? Is he ever going to tell poor Ella who he really is?
Will Maze and Eve get their happily-ever-after? Will Linda and Amenadiel and baby Charlie ever get to live a normal life? Better yet — will we get another musical episode, or are we going with animation this season?
