Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of June 27th! We’ll be sharing our picks for what to watch this week, from marathons to big guest spots, and significant episodes of TV to look forward to while stuck inside.

This week’s picks include The Bold Type‘s farewell, Legends of Tomorrow takes on the Wild West, and more.

Diana and Matthew are back with an encore of the sophomore season on AMC. Season 2 finds them transported to the past on their quest to find the Book of Life. A Discovery of Witches encore season premiere airs Sunday, June 27 at 7/6c on AMC.

Episode Description: Reluctant witch Diana Bishop and vampire Matthew Clairmont seek refuge in the fascinating and treacherous world of Elizabethan London. There, they must find a powerful witch to help Diana control her magic and search for the elusive Book of Life.

Legends of Tomorrow – Sunday, June 27

The legends are all back in one place again, reunited and heading to the Wild West to track down an alien and protect the timeline. Their trip to the West will find them face-to-face with a historical figure played by an Arrowverse alum, David Ramsey, who also directed the episode. Legends of Tomorrow airs Sunday, June 27 at 8/7c on The CW.

Episode Description: With everyone finally back together, the Legends find themselves looking to Nate (Nick Zano) to keep everything calm while in the old West on a mission to find an alien. After trying to keep things normal, Sara (Caity Lotz) reveals her secret to Ava (Jes Macallan) and the team, leaving them all shocked. Constantine (Matt Ryan) looks to Gary (Adam Tsekham) who might have answers the answer help to his problem. Spooner (Lisseth Chavez) and Astra (Olivia Swann) are forced to work together despite their clashing personalities which ultimately helps push them to hone their powers. Meanwhile, Zari (Tala Ashe) takes an unusual interest in Behrad’s (Shayan Sobhian) personal life.

Chaos reigns on the streets of Gotham as Black Mask wreaks havoc, forcing Ryan, Luke, Mary, and Sophie to join forces to bring the city back from the brink. The final episode also brings a big another big encounter and an even bigger standoff. Where will Ryan be by the end of the episode? Batwoman’s season finale airs Sunday, June 27 at 9/8c on The CW.

Episode Description: In the Batwoman season finale, Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) questions her place as the city’s hero as she, Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson), Mary Hamilton (Nicole Kang) and Sophie Moore (Meagan Tandy) must join forces when Black Mask (guest star Peter Outerbridge) instigates chaos in the Gotham streets. Meanwhile, Alice’s attempt to rescue her sister means another encounter with Circe (guest star Wallis Day). In an epic standoff, unexpected alliances and transformations will upend Gotham as we know it.

The final 2 episodes of the revival are upon us as Brooke makes one more push for Eladio to look to his future, while her tentative working agreement with Colin faces one more barrier. In Treatment’s final 2 episodes airs Monday, June 28 at 9/8c on HBO.

Episode Description: Despite finally shaking a label that has plagued him, Eladio struggles when an empathetic Brooke pushes him to envision the future and shake his self-imposed limitations. Brooke and Colin discuss the terms of their new working relationship after overcoming hurdles to progress. But Colin soon leaves Brooke staggered by his misguided beliefs.

Young Royals Season 1 debuts Thursday, July 1 on Netflix.

Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) – Friday, July 2

Questlove’s filmmaking debut combines the rich history of music during turbulent times and a long-forgotten music festival. The documentary/music film tells the story of the Harlem Cultural festival through restored images and film from the 60s. Summer of Soul makes its streaming debut Friday, July 2 on Hulu.

Movie Description: In his acclaimed debut as a filmmaker, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson presents a powerful and transporting documentary – part music film, part historical record created around an epic event that celebrated Black history, culture and fashion. Over the court of six weeks in the summer of 1969, just one hundred miles south of Woodstock, The Harlem Cultural Festival was filmed in Mount Morris Park (now Marcus Garvey Park). The footage was never seen and largely forgotten – until now. “Summer of Soul” shines a light on the importance of history to our spiritual well-being and stands as a testament to the healing power of music during times of unrest, both past and present.
