Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky are back to break our hearts one last time.
As in denial as we may be, To All the Boys: Always and Forever is the final installment in Netflix’s swoon-worthy teen trilogy and the last hurrah for Lara Jean as she navigates the remaining days of her high school experience before plunging into the uncharted waters of adulthood.
Covinsky will have to face one last trial as a couple when their separate dreams and a college rejection letter has the two star-crossed lovers questioning whether or not they can make a long-distance relationship work.
Will Peter and Lara Jean’s feelings for each other survive, or will their love story stay in the halls of Alder High?
Even with that heavy decision weighing on the story, Always and Forever is still every bit a celebration of teenage love and the pastel fever dream that is Lara Jean’s life. Expect a finale brimming with over-the-top prom proposals, grand trips, and an ensemble of good looking teens living their best lives.
Peter and Lara Jean’s all-consuming chemistry will lend a hand to many more firsts in their intimate relationship. Chris and Trevor continue to be content with their Subway lunch dates, and Gen will take on a more prominent role in Lara Jean’s life as the two girls attempt to put their feud behind them.
The love doesn’t start there because Dan and Trina are getting married. It will be a family affair complete with a backyard wedding, as the Coveys honour their mother’s legacy by learning to open themselves up to love again.
Not only will the Song-Covey sisters explore Korea, but the senior class will also take a trip to New York City, complete with shots of the Empire State Building (lit up in the film’s signature colours) and Central Park. After that steamy ski trip, we are looking forward to another unchaperoned school trip.
Always and Foreverwill arrive on Netflix just in time for Valentine’s Day. What better way to commemorate the season of love than with Lara Jean’s sugary baked-goods and Peter’s sweet smile.
Let us hope when Lara Jean’s goodbye breaks our hearts into a thousand pieces, it’s for all the right reasons.
