Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is back for Season 2 with a new time on a new day. Now on Tuesdays at 8/7c, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 2 Episode 1, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Return,” will kick off a new season of songs, welcome a few new faces, and see Zoey start to figure out where she goes next on her musical journey.
One of the major stories left unresolved at the end of Season 1 is the love triangle between Zoey, Max, and Simon.
Picking up about a month after “Zoey’s Extraordinary Dad,” it doesn’t look like much has changed since Mitch’s funeral. Everyone is still in limbo, and while Max and Simon tell Zoey they don’t want to compete for her, their inner soundtrack, of course, tells a different story.
So, on that front, Zoey can’t seem to decide who she wants and things are the same as they ever were.
Not everything is as we left it on Season 1, however. Joan offers Zoey is a big promotion that Zoey isn’t sure she wants, and we meet the newest SPRQ Point employee, George, played by Harvey Guillen.
After a season so focused on Zoey’s relationship with her dad, Season 2 is bound to feel different with him no longer a physical presence in her life. The bits and pieces we’ve seen so far give us a pretty good idea of how the season might shape up and what emotions Zoey will learn to cope with through music as the season progresses.
