Preview — Warrior Season 2 Episode 7: If You Wait by the River Long Enough
Whilst Ah Sahm is all about getting business done and the angst that comes with it, Hong and Young Jun are like kids in a candy store and had an absolute blast of a time in Rooker’s Mill. But, joy in the life of a Tong henchman is ephemeral as Ah Sahm and Young Jun return to Chinatown to a greatly displeased Father Jun.
Having been walking the tightrope since the season opener, on Warrior Season 2 Episode 7, “If You Wait By The River Long Enough,” their chickens, almost inevitably so, come home to roost.
Keeping with the theme set up on Warrior Season 2 Episode 6, “To a Man With a Hammer, Everything Looks Like a Nail,” where Rooker’s reckoning comes in the form of a seemingly ornamental bullet hanging around Vega’s neck, who also meets a similar end not long after, this reckoning doesn’t stop with Young Jun and Ah Sahm. Everyone across the board has to deal with the blowback of their recent actions — noble or otherwise.
Chao is still reeling from his decision to give up his daughter for adoption in the hopes that she could have a future neither he nor her mother can ever provide for her, along with the small matter of hedging his bets with the police in a way he never has before. Penny and Mayor Blake’s jousting also reaches a critical point with serious consequences for both parties involved.
The blades are brought out of storage as Ah Toy sets Lai loose on her enemies once again, even as her relationship with Miss. Davenport grows deeper.
