Preview — Swamp Thing Season 1 Episode 6: The Price You Pay
The truth is out there on Swamp Thing Season 1 Episode 6, “The Price You Pay.” Alec Holland’s secret is no longer that when too many people know certain details about his transformative situation.
The truth becomes dangerous when Matt learns the truth about Alec Holland. The promo video shows that this revelation leads to a standoff in the swamp. It looks like things quickly even though Matt may not have bad intentions.
It’s safe to bet that Avery’s people always have bad intentions, so it could be that Matt is in the wrong place at the wrong time. This would make sense as to why Alec becomes physically confrontational with Matt in the promo video.
In Alec’s defense, it would be hard to tell the bad guys from the good ones when they’re swarming you with giant guns.
As if things aren’t going badly enough for Alec, Avery wants to capture him alive for further experimentation. Woodrue has to improvise in delivering results to Avery by testing on Daniel Cassidy.
It would be ideal for Daniel Cassidy if this leads to answers about his mysterious deal that ties him to Marais. Daniel is sure that his deal has something to do with Abby, but that has yet to come to fruition.
There is a silver lining to all of this violence in the name of truth. Abby Arcane vows to stand by and help Alec in any way she can. This isn’t unexpected on her part but it’s reassuring to know there is someone in Alec’s corner during all of this.
Hopefully it’s enough to pull him through whatever Avery has planned.

Episode description: Matt (Henderson Wade) learns the truth about Alec Holland (Andy Bean). Meanwhile, Avery (Will Patton) pressures Woodrue (Kevin Durant) to deliver results, which escalates his experiments with Swamp Thing’s genetic materials and leads him to test on Daniel Cassidy (Ian Ziering).
