Sarah Paulson and Ryan Murphy reunite once again to bring you your new favorite psychological horror show, Ratched.
The series will follow Paulson as Mildred Ratched, a nurse who moves to Northern California seeking new employment at a hospital that experiments on patients.
The character Mildred Ratched comes from the 1962 novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey. The new series is set as an origin story to her monstrous ways.
Mildred begins her journey as someone who strives to be the perfect nurse but slowly realizes that deep down, something evil inside of her has begun to emerge.
Paulson has cemented herself as a triple threat actress who can adhere to any role given to her, which only makes me that much more excited to see her bring this character to life.
Among the other cast members are Finn Wittrock, Charlie Carver, Judy Davis, Sharon Stone, Cynthia Nixon, and Harriet Harris. Ian Brennan and Ryan Murphy are involved heavily with the series, but Evan Romansky is the head writer.
Directors for the series include: Ryan Murphy, Jessica Yu, Michael Uppendahl, Nelson Cragg, Jennifer Lynch, and Daniel Minahan.
