Preview — Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 7 Episode 11: Brand New Day

It’s a brand new day for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. As for what kind of day that will be is yet to be seen.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 7 Episode 11, “Brand New Day,” puts fans at the center of the action for what Malick believes to be the “greatest show on Earth”.

Okay but seriously, when did this spoiled rich kid become such a central part of that great show?

It’s a bit dramatic if you ask me, but we are only one episode away from the series finale and the stakes, frankly, have never been higher for our b-list roster of rogue S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

The stakes to make one of this season’s many lacklustre villains work and the chance to find redemption for sidelining Fitzsimmons entirely has never been greater either.

So it’s understandable that the show would want to keep the details of this latest mission close to the chest for the time being.

What we do know is Daisy’s sister, Kora wants the opportunity to become a killer S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. You have to respect her honesty but given the agency’s track record I doubt we’ll see the team take to the idea of murdering their enemies on sight.

On a more entertaining note, our beloved Director Mack is going rogue, something Coulson looks quite excited about. One can only hope “director of S.H.I.E.L.D. gone rogue” leads to a few epic space explosions and one very dead Nathaniel Malick.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been kind enough to supplement the lack of context for this upcoming episode with headshots of Enver Gjokaj as our favorite Daisy-loving square, Daniel Sousa.

It’s cleary misdirection. But given that Daisy and Sousa’s romantic relationship is one of the strongest aspects of this final season, I’m happy to stare longingly at these promotional photos in anticipation of our favorite new couple’s return.

Bring on the ship — and no, I’m not talking about the Zephyr!

Episode description: With the help of Kora on the inside, Sibyl and Nathanial continue their fight to shape a dark new future for S.H.I.E.L.D., managing to stay one step ahead of the agents along the way. If the team is going to turn this one around, they’ll have to get creative, and maybe even a little out of this world.
