The Boys Season 2 Trailer: Billy Butcher Promises Us An Even Bloodier Sequel

Previews, The Boys

The Boys are back in town — and they’re bringing their incredibly vulgar, extremely violent brand with them.

The trailer for Eric Kripke’s brutal anti-superhero comic-book adaptation promises to bring even more insanity and gore to the small screen satire, with Billy Butcher and his fellow boys on the run from the law and being hunted by some rather pissed of supes.

Homelander is set on continuing his reign as television’s most terrifying villain by taking complete control of The Seven. But his plans are threatened by a new supe on the scene as Stormfront’s undeniable power, Neo-Nazi agenda, and social media-savvy skills threaten to derail his entire plan.

It seems The Seven’s Black Noir will also play a big part in the bonkers brutality of The Boys Season 2. Starlight, on the other hand, will be donning her “mature” costume and putting on a smile for the cameras as she navigates her place between The Seven and The Boys.

The politics of this corporate superhero world will once again put Vought at center stage as the company attempts to capitalize on the nation’s growing fear and paranoia.

Unfortunately for our boys, taking a stand won’t be so easy a second time around with Butcher having left Hughie, Mother’s Milk, Frenchie, and Kimiko to fend for themselves in a nationwide manhunt. But there’s no need to worry about his whereabouts because according to Billy himself — Daddy’s coming home.

The first three episodes of The Boys Season 2 will premiere Friday, September 4, 2020 on Amazon Prime Video. Following the initial release, new episodes will be released one at a time each Friday leading up to the season final on October 9. That’s 8 episodes of sheer superhero insanity to look forward to!
