Preview — The 100 Season 7 Episode 7: The Queen’s Gambit

The 100 Season 7 Episode 7, “The Queen’s Gambit,” follows Emori’s attempts to heal the familial wounds left behind by the Primes. It also sees Echo, Octavia, and Diyoza struggle with new familial wounds on Bardo.

“The Queen’s Gambit” is also the directorial debut of the incomparable Lindsey Morgan. 

The 100 is nearly halfway through its final season, yet storylines are only beginning to come together. It’s difficult to remain optimistic that Clarke and her team will make it to Bardo before the end of “The Queen’s Gambit” because it feels almost impossible to believe that so many characters could be on the same planet at once. 

Then again, optimism looks to be running short for many characters on The 100. The photos for “The Queen’s Gambit” prove that Echo isn’t taking Bellamy’s supposed death well. This is understandable because, let’s be honest, neither are we.

However, the episode’s photos and promo don’t provide much context about Octavia’s reaction to her brother’s “death.”

The promo does give fans a look at the rage and violence brewing on Sanctum, and it doesn’t look like it’s simmering any time soon. Maybe Indra and Emori can work together to heal the divide.

Episode description: Emori (guest star Luisa d’Oliveira) tries to heal Sanctum’s old familial wounds while Echo (Tasya Teles), Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) and Diyoza (guest star Ivana Milicevic) struggle with new ones. Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Lindsey Morgan, Shannon Kook, JR Bourne, Shelby Flannery and Chuku Modu also star.
