Preview — Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 7 Episode 3: Alien Commies From the Future!
It’s a whole new decade for the agents as a surprise time jump appears to send the team stumbling into 1950s Nevada — and more specifically, Area 51.
Not everything about this new time and predicament presented by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 7 Episode 3, “Alien Commies From the Future!” will feel foreign, however, with the S.H.I.E.L.D. we know having now fully formed.
Peggy Carter’s old partner and fellow SSR agent, Daniel Sousa, will be making his return to the Marvel television universe for the first time since Agent Carter‘s abrupt cancellation in 2016 to assist with the season’s latest mission.
The episode description even goes as far as to suggest Sousa isn’t the only familiar face coming to the team’s aid during their time in the fifties. This is likely not referring to Peggy (no matter how much we wish it was), but maybe Howard Stark or Jarvis are around to lend a hand.
It’s safe to say we can dream. After all, we are surrounded by the retro dinners, vibrant music, and secret bases of a period bursting with Marvel history.

Now, in order to stop the chronicoms from launching their newest future-dismantling plan, the agents will have to infiltrate one of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most secure bases. They won’t be able to succeed without help from a familiar face or two.
