Preview — One Day at a Time Season 4 Episode 1: Checking Boxes
One Day at a Time Season 4 is almost here, finally. The beloved sitcom makes its jump from Netflix to Pop TV with One Day at a Time Season 4 Episode 1, “Checking Boxes.”
One Day at a Time Season 3 premiered over a year ago on Netflix but was canceled a few months later, leaving the future of the show very much in doubt. After a months-long fight by the show’s loyal fans and a ton of behind the scenes work by its producers, it was picked up by Pop TV and is finally set to air a new season on March 24th.
Update: this episode will air again Monday, October 12th at 9/8c on CBS (updated Oct. 3rd).
“Checking Boxes” will serve a bit of a reset for the series, reestablishing who these characters are for new viewers and for those that just need a refresher after being gone for so long.
That’s not to say there aren’t new developments for long time fans to look forward to. As already announced, Season 4 will introduce Alex’s girlfriend, something Lydia will no doubt have some strong feelings about.
Whatever Season 4 has in store for us, it’s just really great to have the Alverez family back on our screens.
