Preview — Grey’s Anatomy Season 16 Episode 16: Leave a Light On
We’re finally going to get answers about Alex Karev on Grey’s Anatomy Season 16 Episode 16, “Leave a Light On.”
It was announced in January that Justin Chambers would not be returning to the series and that he had already filmed his last episode. Since returning from the mid-season break, viewers have only gotten hints about how Alex might be written out, with most of the doctors believing he was in Iowa with his mother.
We learned on Grey’s Anatomy Season 16 Episode 15, “Snowblind,” however, that he hasn’t been in Iowa after all. Jo believes he’s left her, but could that really be true? From the looks of the promo video below for the upcoming episode, we’ll finally find out what’s been going on with Alex, and much of the hour will be spent saying goodbye.
It’s curious how that will happen, but there’s no doubt nostalgia is going to be a big part of it. And there’s no doubt that we’re all going to need a box of tissues or three to get through it.
Meanwhile, Ben and Bailey are looking at a major decision following the invitation Bailey gave Joey to come to stay with them on the previous episode.
