Preview — Sex Education Season 2
The Moordale gang is back on Sex Education Season 2 and they are still struggling with life, love, and S-E-X.
There is relationship drama, a chlamydia outbreak, new students, and all sorts of shenanigans packed into these eight episodes. There were a lot of loose ends at the close of Sex Education Season 1 and Season 2 looks like it will address with those along with even more spectacles with which to entertain us. Anticipatory storylines include Otis and Ola’s new relationship and Maeve’s feelings for him, and Jean and Jakob’s continued romance that will become particularly sticky when their kids find out.
Eric: You finally get a girlfriend and she’s basically your sister.
The main cast is back with Asa Butterfield as Otis, Gillian Anderson as Jean, Emma Mackey as Maeve, Ncuti Gatwa as Eric, Patricia Allison as Ola, Kedar Williams-Stirling as Jackson, Aimee Lou Woods as Aimee, Connor Swindells as Adam, Tanya Reynolds as Lily, and Mikael Persbrant as Jakob. And there are some newcomers as well. Sami Outalbali will play Rahim, a student from France that will turn heads, Chinenye Ezeudu will play young, gifted academic Viv, and George Robinson as Isaac, a new neighbor at Maeve’s caravan park.
With a chlamydia outbreak, Moordale Secondary is in need of more legitimate sex education, and they bring in a specialist which also happens to be Otis’ mum, Jean. With the leak of a video of her and a very lucky courgette last season, Jean caused a stir among the students and an embarrassing situation for Otis. Her return to the school is sure to provide more drama and laughs.
In the trailer they say “Love is messy” and “Messy is normal,” and I, for one, can’t wait to see Sex Education’s second round of messiness.

Episode description: As a late bloomer Otis must master his newly discovered sexual urges in order to progress with his girlfriend Ola whilst also dealing with his now strained relationship with Maeve. Meanwhile, Moordale Secondary is in the throes of a chlamydia outbreak, highlighting the need for better sex education at the school and new kids come to town who will challenge the status quo.
