Supergirl Season 5 Episode 1, “Event Horizon,” is a lot to process. The writers jump right in with the big reveals, high emotions, and multiple episode ending cliffhangers. Supergirl Season 5 Episode 2, “Stranger Beside Me,” doesn’t looking like it will be slowing things down.
After the emotionally charged premiere that focused on Lena and Kara, “Stranger Beside Me” will focus on J’onn J’onzz and a vengeful brother that viewers learned about on Supergirl Season 4 Episode 22, “The Quest for Peace.”
The existence of his brother appears like it’s news to J’onn at the end of “Event Horizon,” which is an another unexpected twist.
Why doesn’t J’onn remember his brother? What did he do to make him so angry? How does J’onn’s brother play into to the Monitor’s plan since he was the one who released him? And how will Kelly and Obsidian tech help J’onn find answers?
There are a lot of questions to answer and it looks like viewers and J’onn will be figuring them out together.
