Grand Hotel Canceled by ABC After One Season
The soapy summer murder mystery, Grand Hotel, has been canceled by ABC after one season, TV Line confirms. The Miami-based show will no longer be booking rooms, so the cliffhanger on the season finale will keep us hanging indefinitely — unless another network picks up the show.
According to TV Line, Grand Hotel ranked ninth among ABC’s summer programs. While it outperformed some shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, it seems the new series didn’t get the numbers it needed for renewal.
It is unclear whether Grand Hotel has a shot at getting picked up by another network or a streaming service.

Another Latinx-focused show, One Day At A Time, was saved by Pop TV this summer after Netflix canceled it in March. But after just one season, Grand Hotel has likely not had the time to build up a fanbase quite as passionate as the #RenewODAAT folks who tirelessly campaigned to get One Day At A Time picked up by another network.
On the other hand, fans should never be underestimated! We here at Tell-Tale TV are well aware that there are at least 15 Reasons to Reserve a Room at the Grand Hotel.
Grand Hotel is a reimagined version of the Spanish show of the same name, Gran Hotel, which follows the mysterious disappearance of a worker and the layered shenanigans underway by the family running the hotel.

The original series includes many of the same elements but is set in the early 1900s in Spain. The ABC show modernized the setting, costuming, and romances.
The sexy summer show packs a shippy punch with several steamy ships like D’alicia, Yoli and Marisa, and our favorite, Javi and Ingrid.
The series is executive produced by Eva Longoria and stars Roselyn Sánchez, Demián Bichir, Bryan Craig, Denyse Tonz, Lincoln Younes, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Anne Winters, Shalim Ortiz, Chris Warren, Justina Adorno, and Feliz Ramirez.

Don’t worry Team Yoli fans! Yoli actress Justina Adorno can be seen on Roswell, New Mexico‘s upcoming Season 2.
