“If you think you know what’s coming next… You don’t know us.”
That’s not just the newest promotional tagline but a promise This Is Us Season 4 Episode 1, “Strangers,” intends to fulfill with another jaw-dropping twist — this time in the form of 10 strange new additions to the cast.
Jennifer Morrison (Once Upon A Time), Nick Wechsler (Revenge), filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, and Timothy Omundson (Psych) are just a few of the familiar faces we will see the Pearsons come into contact with this season.
After a bumpy run last season, This Is Us looks to reinvent itself as the Big Three begin to solidify a future we’ve already caught glimpses of. With many more years of this show to look forward to, the idea of new life being breathed into this premise is both exhilarating and terrifying as we are pushed back into the dark.
So far we know this season will revolve around the impression complete strangers can leave on someone and the terrible impression Jack leaves on Rebecca’s parents — yikes!
With this show, you never quite know what to expect. None the less, you can expect it to be good.
