Younger Review: It’s All About The Money, Honey (Season 6 Episode 10)
Younger Season 6 Episode 10, “It’s All About The Money, Honey,” sets up all of the drama for final episodes of one of the best seasons yet and sends our hearts into chaos as things get pretty sticky for all of our favorite millennials.
Josh learns that his daughter might be taken to LA, Liza has to face some uncomfortable relationship questions, and Kelsey is forced to choose the company over herself.

On the previous episode, we saw the ad that Infinitely 21 decided to use for their campaign with Liza. We don’t have to wait long for Liza to see it, and her reaction to the twenty-foot images of her and Josh spread all over New York is pretty intense.
I understand why Liza might be upset that that’s the photo that Infinitely 21 chose to go with, but the way she handles telling Charles and the choice she makes at the end of this episode make me a little concerned for her.
It’s reasonable that Liza would want to give her current boyfriend context for the image before he saw it just to make sure he knows, but the fact that Liza felt the need to keep him from seeing it to the point of flying all the way to Chicago is worrisome. I know this is television and sometimes stakes are heightened for the sake of drama, but Liza easily could’ve called or texted Charles the minute she saw the ad and simply explained what happened.
Liza feeling as though she has to hide that part of herself and her friendship with someone who is still very important to her makes me wonder if she really does still have feelings for Josh. I’m a firm believer that Liza should be allowed to be friends with whoever she wants, including Josh. But I’m also very aware that there’s unfinished business there, if not on both sides, at least for Josh.

If Liza no longer has feelings for Josh, why is she so desperate to hide the photo from Charles?
Charles asking Liza if she’s done living in the past is completely fair, and I don’t think that he’s asking her to cut Josh out of her life. If he was, I’d be pretty frustrated with him. Liza takes his suggestion to that extreme anyway which makes me think that she’s doing it not because she thinks it’d make Charles happy but because she thinks that for the sake of their relationship she does need to stay away from Josh.
I’ve always been a sucker for this love triangle so I’m intrigued by this new twist on it. I change my mind on who I want Liza to be with pretty much on a weekly basis, but no matter who she’s with I don’t want Liza to feel like she has to lose either of these relationships whether they are romantic or not.
If Josh and Liza never share a romance again on Younger I would still want them to be in each other’s lives, a promise they’ve made to each other and made good on over and over. Liza choosing to stop seeing Josh entirely stings somehow. Will her decision push him to move to California with Clare?

Meanwhile, Kelsey and Charles make moves to impress investors and get money back behind Millennial to save the company after losing Quinn’s funding. Kelsey holds her own in a room full of old white men and makes an incredible pitch for why they should invest in not only the company but in her at the head of it.
It all goes so perfectly that watching it crash and burn is almost excruciating. Kelsey’s propensity for tequila comes back to bite her again when she accidentally posts a personal message for Zane on her Instagram story.
Kelsey acts with so much maturity through this whole fiasco. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to watch her give the publisher position back to Charles in order to save the company. It’s the smart business decision but it’s devastating to see Kelsey lose everything that she’s worked so hard for over one little mistake.
I am so hopeful that we’ll get to see Kelsey rise back to the top of Millennial before the end of the season. She’s a powerful boss who has earned every bit of that position and I don’t want to see her go down without a fight.
OTHER THOUGHTS:
- Diana in Kleinfeld is absolutely everything. I can’t wait to see her go all out for this wedding. She’s worked hard and been through so much to get where she is with Enzo and that deserves to be celebrated to the max.
- I definitely agree with Maggie, if Josh doesn’t decide to go with Clare and Gemma to LA, he should at least try to fight for custody. He’s a good father and he deserves to be in his daughter’s life.
- Do you think Charles will work on a plan that puts Kelsey back in charge? I’d like to see it!
- I’m obsessed with Diana and Lauren wedding planning together. I would watch an entire season of those two getting up to no good.
- Josh’s proposition for Inkburg to partner with Infinitely 21 is brilliant! I’m so proud of him for continuing to grow and expand his life this season.
