The 100 to End With Season 7
Creator and showrunner Jason Rothenberg announced via Twitter today that The 100 Season 7 will be the show’s last.
While it’s always sad to see a show go, at least The 100 will get to go out on its own terms with (hopefully) a badass final season that doesn’t leave fans with a horrible cliffhanger. The final season of the post-apocalyptic series will air on The CW in 2020.
With #The100 Season 6 finale just days away, I have some bittersweet news to share: Season 7 will be our last. We are eternally grateful to WB & CW for always allowing us to tell our story the way we want to & to wrap the show on our terms. What an incredible ride this has been!

As for The 100 Season 6, the season finale airs Tuesday, August 6, and is titled “The Blood of Sanctum.”
It will be interesting to see if this season ends with our favorite delinquents in a completely new location, or if Season 7 will be spent, at least partly, on Sanctum.

What do you think of the news? Are you sad to see The 100 go, or do you think it’s time? Let us know, and share your hopes for The 100‘s final season in the comments below.
The 100 airs Tuesday 9/8c on The CW.
