Top 15 Episodes of Killjoys
11. Baby Face Killer (Season 4 Episode 6)

Who would have thought that bringing a kid into the mix would be so darn delightful?
Jaq is ounces of fun, and his presence allows us to explore different sides to our favorite killjoys. We get to see D’av in dad mode, and Auntie Dutch gives Jaq some self-defense lessons.
D’av: Self defense is all about fun and protective padding.
Jaq: Wouldn’t it be faster to give me a gun?
D’av: Well, you’re two days old. You gotta save something for day three, chief.
Jaq: I have a name now, you know. Delle Seyah gave me one before she left, Osmond Kin Rit.
D’av: It doesn’t even have any apostrophes.
Also, tell me you didn’t cry when Jaq picks his own name — Jaqobis “Jaq” Kin Rit. It’s such a sweet, emotional moment.
12. O Mother, Where Art Thou? (Season 4 Episode 7)

Killjoys Season 4 can be aptly described as a master class in flashbacks. This time, the focus is on Aneela and her parents.
We’ve learned so much about Khlyen and Aneela over the seasons, and this flashback shows them in a different light.
“O Mother, Where Art Thou?” introduces us to Aneela before she went completely mad. And, the hour also introduces the woman who married Khlyen and gave birth to Aneela — Yalena.
Learning the history of just how long Aneela has been tormented by The Lady is fascinating. It helps to raise the stakes of this war Dutch and Team Awesome Force have found their way into.
13. It Takes a Pillage (Season 4 Episode 8)

There’s a lot of focus on Dutch and Aneela during Season 4, and so, it is nice to shift gears and focus on the Jaqobis brothers and their childhood.
We get to go to the bunker their father calls home, and with Jaq in tow, Johnny and D’av get to examine their own upbringing. There are some great brotherly moments during the hour, and we see just how well D’av has settled into the role of being a father.
Meanwhile, Dutch and Zeph get to spend some one on one time together, which is always a delight. Their friendship is fantastic, and in a male-dominated show, it is nice to focus on female relationships.
14. The Kids Are Alright (Season 4 Episode 9)

This Killjoys mission is better than some action movies you’ll see in theaters.
Team Awesome Force is finally back together after being separated for far too long. It feels like old times seeing everyone side by side, taking orders for Turin.
The mark of a good show is the ability to balance the light and the dark with ease. You can always count on Killjoys to deliver some hilarious banter, and in “The Kids Are Alright,” the series demonstrates that it can rip your heart out as well.
While it’s not totally surprising that Pip and Weej die, their deaths are well done and make you bawl your eyes out.
15. Sporemageddon (Season 4 Episode 10)

Team Awesome Force, meet Aneela. Aneela, meet Team Awesome Force.
Having Annela and Dutch switch bodies is a very cool way to shake things up a bit, even if it is only temporary. Aneela interacting with everyone is hilariously fun. She’s the enemy to, well, everyone, and so it is entertaining to watch everyone react to her presence.
While everyone is wary of her, Aneela is just delightful, which makes for a fun contrast. The fact that she refers to Johnny as “Johnny favorite” is adorable.
After seeing Aneela and Dutch in the green earlier in Season 4, it’s cool that D’av and Johnny also get to take a trip down to its trippy little world.
Unfortunately, Team Awesome Force makes a crucial mistake by not verifying everyone’s identity upon leaving the green. The Lady escapes and decides to be her super creepy self in the form of a child. It’s very on brand for her.
This slip up does set up an intriguing final season where it looks like we’ll be spending some time in an alternate universe. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for Season 5.
