‘The 100,’ ‘Roswell, New Mexico,’ and More Renewed at The CW

In their latest round of announcements, The CW has renewed The 100 along with three of its newest series: Roswell, New Mexico, All American, and In the Dark.  

Network President Mark Pedowitz announced the four renewals on April 24th bumping The CW’s returning roster to 14 shows, including all five of its freshman series.

“One of our key long-term goals has been to continually add more original programming all year round, especially in midseason and summer, and with these returning shows and the new series we’ll order as we get closer to the May upfront, next season on The CW is shaping up to be our most robust year round schedule yet,” said Pedowitz.

Fans of Roswell, New Mexico should be especially thrilled with this announcement as the show’s first season just ended with a brutal cliffhanger. 

Roswell, New Mexico stars Jeanine Mason, Nathan Dean Parsons, Lily Cowles, Michael Vlamis, Heather Hemmens, Michael Trevino, Karan Oberoi, Trevor St. John, and Tyler Blackburn. Executive producers include Carina Adly MacKenzie, Chris Hollier, Julie Plec, Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, Lawrence Bender, and Kevin Kelly Brown.

Less than a week ahead of the Season 6 premiere, The CW has given the go-ahead on  The 100 Season 7.  

Creator and Showrunner Jason Rothenberg thanked the network and the entire creative team behind The 100 calling the early renewal a “total baller move by The CW.” Season 6 begins the first installment of “Book II” of The 100 finding our heroes on a completely different world filled with new adventures and new threats. 

The 100 returns on Tuesday, April 30th and stars Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Paige Turco, Henry Ian Cusick, Lindsey Morgan, Marie Avgeropoulos, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles, Shannon Kook, and Sachin Sahel. Executive producers include Showrunner Jason Rothenberg and Leslie Morganstein.

All American premiered last fall and centers around Spencer James, a rising high school football player from Compton recruited to play in Beverly Hills.

All American stars Daniel Ezra, Taye Diggs, Samantha Logan, Bre-Z, Greta Onieogou, Monte Mazur, Michael Evans Behling, Cody Christian, Karimah Westbrook, and Jalyn Hall. Executive Producers include April Blair, Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter.

In The Dark is currently airing its first season which premiered on April 4th. The show tells the story of blind, disaffected twenty-something Murphy, out to solve the murder of her best friend.

The series stars Perry Mattfeld, Rich Sommer, Brook Markham, Casey Diedrick, Kreston John, Morgan Krantz, Thamela Mpumlwana, Derek Websterm and Kathleen York. Executive Producers include Corinne Kingsbury, Jonathan Collier, Ben Stiller, Jackie Cohn, Nicholas Weinstock, and Michael Showalter. 

Be sure to watch The 100 on Tuesdays at 9/8c and In The Dark on Thursdays at 9/8c on The CW. And look for premiere dates of the second seasons of Roswell, New Mexico and All American coming later this year.
