The 100 Season 6 premieres in a month, which means it’s time for a brand new trailer. At the end of The 100 Season 5, Clarke and Bellamy awoke from cryosleep to find a message from Monty about a brand new world. The four-minute trailer shows that there is a new planet with plenty to explore. A world that seems to be both idyllic and frightening at the same time. Renewals & Cancellations

Epix has canceled Berlin Station after three seasons. Deadline reports that the international spy series starring Richard Armitage, was the network’s first scripted series, premiering in 2016. It earned as Season 2 renewal within a month of its debut. The Season 3 finale that debuted at in February will now serve as the series finale.

Law and Order: SVU has been renewed for Season 21 making it the longest running live-action series in television history. According to TV Line, With this renewal, SVU will blaze past the original title-holders: Gunsmoke. Mariska Hargitay, who plays Olivia Benson on the show, said in a statement, “I’m deeply proud to be a part of this groundbreaking show, and humbled to make television history today. The longevity and continued success of SVU is a testament not only to the show’s powerful storytelling and ability to connect with viewers but to its necessity. We have told important stories for 20 years, and we will continue to tell them.”

Law and Order SVU GIF

Better Things has been renewed for Season 4. “Rarely has there been a show that is so personal and, at the same time, so thoroughly universal in the way it explores modern parenting, family and life,” said John Landgraf, Chairman of FX Networks and FX Productions, in a press release. “We are thrilled to extend the series for a fourth season and to continue this incredible partnership with Pamela, her creative team and the amazing cast of Better Things.” The fourth season will air on FX in 2020.

Fox has renewed fan favorites The Resident and 9-1-1 for third seasons.  According to a FOX press release, the two shows have “…helped the channel’s ratings increase “+24% year-over-year growth for FOX Monday.” Check out our report for more details.

Casting News

Emily Bett Rickards will be exiting Arrow ahead of its final season. Earlier today, Rickards, who plays Felicity Smoak posted to Instagram announcing her departure. Her post says,

“Felicity and I
are a very tight two
But after one through seven
we will be saying goodbye to you

Mozhan Marnò is leaving The Blacklist. TV Line reports that Fridays two-hour episode served as the final installment for Agent Samar Navabi. Navabi entered the series at the start of Season 2 but at the start of The Blacklist Season 6, her fate was left uncertain after a car crash. Navabi’s health declined in her final installment, and when her Mossad handlers found out they decided to put a hit out on her before her fuzzy memory could become a liability to the agency. To avoid death, Navabi decided to leave town. Marnò expressed her gratitude to fans and coworkers on her Instagram page on Friday: “…last summer, I decided that I was ready for my next chapter, and the producers very graciously granted my request to move on from the show.”

NCIS: Los Angeles will be seeing a familiar face. David James Elliot will be making an appearance on the show reprising his JAG role as Navy Captain Harmon Rabb Jr. Elliot will appear in multiple episodes starting on May 12th. According to TV Line, “In Elliott’s first episode, ‘The Guardian,’ the NCIS team uncovers ISIS sympathizers who are planning an attack on U.S. aircraft carriers. The terror threat will result in Callen (played by Chris O’Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) working directly with Rabb, now the XO Captain on the USS Intrepid.”

Philip Winchester says that he won’t be returning for Law & Order: SVU Season 21. Winchester broke the news that Assistant District Attorney Peter Stone will not be returning on Twitter. Winchester joined the cast in Season 19, reprising the role from another Dick Wolf production, Chicago Justice.

Production & Industry News

There’s a Sex and the City sequel in the works. According to TV Line, Paramount and Anonymous Content acquired the right so Candace Bushnell’s upcoming novel Is There Still Sex in the City?. Bushnell will write the script for the adaptation and serve as executive producer. There is no word yet on if any of the original cast will appear in the sequel.
