The 100 Season 6 Trailer: 26 Things We’re Screaming About!
The 100 Season 6 trailer has finally arrived and these thrilling four minutes of footage were absolutely worth the long and silent wait.
Along with the trailer, The 100 has released a new poster for Season 6 featuring two Clarkes and mirrored Rorschach style imagery dominated by bright colors and fascinating new landscapes.
For much of the hiatus, everything about the new season has been kept under lock and key. Earlier this year, at Unity Days 2019, the cast previewed a very different version of the beloved sci-fi apocalypse drama, confessing that it even feels like a new show, while keeping the characters we care about at the heart of it all.

From the looks of it, The 100 “Book II” is turning the page and we cannot wait to dive into this new chapter. Here are 26 things we are screaming about after watching the new trailer!
1. Two Suns Make Everything Brighter

Guys, the new season is SO COLORFUL. The 100 has always been a pretty visually stunning show, but it’s also known to have some of the darkest shots on television.
This new planet is lit by a pair of suns and its elements are like nothing we’ve ever seen before. The sky is filled with gorgeous hues of blue and purple, with visions of neighboring planets on the horizon and sparkling stars lighting up the night.
Even the scenes that are indoors are lit with vivid color and everything is beautifully saturated. This new style is one change The 100 fans are definitely welcoming with open arms and full heart eyes.
2. Everyone’s Hair Looks Amazing
Is this a trailer for The 100 or an Herbal Essences commercial?
It turns out wearing your hair in various braids for six years + 125 years in cryosleep works wonders for your luscious locks. Raven, Echo, and Emori especially are rocking long beautiful curls as they go into the new world. Even Clarke’s blonde bob looks soft and refreshed.
Whoever the stylist is for The 100 Season 6, turn on your location, we just want to say thank you.
3. Kane and Abby are Looking More Hopeful Than Ever

Kane and Abby appear together in the trailer for about five seconds, but those five seconds are more perfect than anything Kabby fans were anticipating.
Kane: Abby, everything we did, everything that happened, happened so we could get here.
Abby: I believe that too.
Kane’s fate was left up in the air when everyone went into cryosleep at the end of The 100 Season 5, and while he may not be out of the woods yet, these shots of him with Abby are enough to inspire more hope than this corner of The 100 fandom has had in months.
Not only do they both look healthy and whole, but they also look happy and hopeful, which is such a relief after Season 5 did its best to take that away from them.
After everything they’ve been through, Kane and Abby can survive whatever Sanctum has in store for them together.
4. Romance is All Around

Kane and Abby aren’t the only couple getting close in the new trailer. Shaw and Raven are sharing some intimate moments, Miller and Jackson share some smiles, and even Jordan is exploring his sexuality on the new planet. There are also a few hot new locals getting it on in the sunshine too!
With The 100 leaning hard into science fiction tropes this year, including a weather phenomenon that affects your demeanor, I’m suspicious to see if all of this lovin’ comes naturally or if there’s literally something in the air.
Earlier during the hiatus, Jason Rothenberg and The 100 writers teased an episode where everyone gets sexy and talks about their feelings. We can only assume some of these moments are from that highly-anticipated episode, and we can’t wait to see what happens between all of these absolute babes.
5. Bellamy and Clarke Get to Talk
The time jump leading into The 100 Season 5 did a number on the relationship between Clarke and Bellamy. The Season 6 trailer has them talking through their issues and working together to figure out how to survive in this new world.
Bellamy: You called me every day for 6 years and then you left me to die in the fighting pits.
Clarke: I’m so sorry, Bellamy.
Six years of radio silence and the bad blood of being on opposite sides of multiple battles leaves Bellamy and Clarke with a lot of things to talk about. The relationship between Clarke and Bellamy has always been a crucial pillar of The 100 and it looks like Season 6 aims to work hard on repairing the connection between them.

The 100 excels when these two work together toward a common goal, using their differences to make them stronger rather than pushing them apart. Will they stick together as the new world presents a whole new set of threats and obstacles or will they find themselves at cross purposes once more?
6. Clarke is Wearing Dresses and Dancing
At the very beginning of The 100 Season 5, we caught a glimpse of what Clarke Griffin looks like when she’s happy and carefree. In this new trailer, Clarke is seen wearing dresses, going to clubs, and even dancing around in silk pajamas in what looks like her very own art studio.
After watching Clarke carry the weight of the world and the survival of the human race on her shoulders for the last 5 years, we can safely say she’s more than earned this respite.
Clarke has been making the hard decisions that no one else wants to face and bearing the consequences of it so no one else has to for as long as we can remember. It’s exhilarating to see her having fun. Which, incidentally, is exactly the word Eliza Taylor used to describe Season 6 when asked about it at Unity Days 2019.

Sanctum has all kinds of new things to offer our favorite adventure squad and it looks like Clarke is making full use of all of them.
Not only is she exploring this soft and elegant new side of herself, but she’s also still kicking ass and taking names, even in a dress. Clarke is going to get in more than her fair share of fights from what we can tell, taking on a range of characters including Sanctum leader Russell and even, potentially, herself.
We also see her taking a motorcycle out for a wild ride. To which I say, where did she learn to ride like that?
She’s ready to flirt or fight; get you a girl who can do both.
7. Why is Princess Mechanic Fighting?
As happy as they both look in the new trailer, Raven has reserved absolutely none of those soft looks for Clarke.
Raven: Every time that you do something horrible you say you’re sorry. And then you do it again.
This is one moment from the trailer that I feel desperately needs some context. Why exactly is Raven going off on Clarke? Did she actually do something new? Has someone gotten killed in the process of making what’s probably a necessary but impossible choice?
Season 5 kept Clarke and Raven separate for most of the year, but the root of the conflict was never really directly between these two.
We thought they left most of their issues behind years ago in The 100 Season 2, so what happens on the new world that has Raven so ready to tear Clarke down?
8. Eclipse-Induced Psychosis
As beautiful as the Sanctum is, this planet and its two suns have some pretty dangerous side effects that I don’t think anyone warned us about. Eclipse-induced psychosis certainly wasn’t in the Eligius III file that Monty cracked to bring them here.
Bellamy: When the stars align and the forest wakes, it’s time to run away.
Now I’m not completely sure I’m hearing that line correctly, so feel free to let me know in the comments if you heard something else. If this is the actual line, it may have been pulled from the Red Sun Rising children’s book that we see someone holding as Bellamy says this to Clarke.

This line could tie into the people in the woods that our Sanctum friends later insist want us dead. The people inside must have a way to protect themselves, but what happens to those outside the border of this idyllic sanctuary?
It becomes clear pretty quickly that whenever the two suns eclipse each other anyone not prepared for it basically loses their mind. We get shots of Bellamy and Murphy fighting each other for no apparent reason while Clarke screams in the background, Jackson slicing into Miller’s arm with a knife, and Echo and Emori chained up in a room having what looks like a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad time.
10. Octavia, Please Stop Eating People

The 100 Season 5 brought us the darkest iteration of Octavia we’ve seen so far, and while some were hopeful Season 6 would find her on the path to redemption, the trailer makes it look like that’s not the case. At least not yet.
The person that Octavia was forced to become to keep Wonkru alive in the bunker is hanging onto the girl under the floor for dear life.
Bellamy: My sister died a long time ago.
Bellamy doesn’t recognize this version of his sister and we can’t really blame him for walking away. Octavia looks very sick after Bellamy delivers this line, has something happened to her? Did something go wrong in her cryo chamber? Or does she just have a death wish?
We see her getting her ass kicked (and liking it?) by a variety of unnamed characters.
My current guess: Octavia decides to let whatever is left of Wonkru take out their grievances directly with their queen. I just hope the blood dripping from her mouth is her own and that she hasn’t gotten such a taste for human flesh that she decides to take a bite out of a fresh one.
