Preview — The Resident Season 2 Episode 16: Adverse Events
The doctors at Chastain Memorial are more determined than ever to shut down Quovadis after Henry Barnett’s near death on The Resident Season 2 Episode 16, “Adverse Events.”
One of the methods they plan to use is making Zoey Barnett the face of the fight against the company, if the promo video below is any indication. We are so excited about this! Zoey has the potential to be a series regular character, and her story would be one of the most unique ways a character entered a show. Even if this is just a series arc, Zoey’s journey is impressive.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Dr. Bell and others treat Chastain’s oldest employee, Simon (Dan Lauria). He’s a custodian with a previously undiscovered heart condition.
Along with trying to save his friend, Bell and Marshall Winthrop go to a stubborn hospital board about severing ties with Quovadis, and they are wary about making a decision, even though a child’s life almost ended and a former employee almost died.
At the Clinic, Dr. Shaw begins to regret his decision to work with Nic when his friend is admitted to the ER.
Episode description: The surgeons are determined to shut down Quovadis after Henry Barnett almost loses his life due to a device malfunction. As Mina and Devon set out to find the truth, Bell, AJ and Conrad work to save the life of Chastain’s favorite custodian, Simon. Meanwhile, one of Alec’s old patients ends up in the ER, forcing him to question if he made the right choice to leave his old practice for Nic’s clinic.
