American Crime Story, Killing Eve, News, Ozark, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, This is Us

Awards season continues to trudge along as stars of the big and small screen rubbed elbows during the 25th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. While many of the category outcomes were predictable, there were a few surprises in the mix.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel ought to be renamed “The Unbeatable Mrs. Maisel.” Tony Shalhoub usurped fellow awards’ darlings Henry Winkler, Bill Hader, and Michael Douglas to win best actor in a comedy series.

The cast of the hit Amazon series also took home Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, and the show’s indisputable breakout star, Rachel Brosnahan, won best actress.

In the drama categories, Sandra Oh scooped up another lead actress win for Killing Eve, and Jason Bateman earned his first SAG award for his role as Martin Byrde on Ozark
